Reviews Review created: 06/09/06 by: After stumbling across K’Naan live at the 2006 WOMAD Festival in Reading, I immediately searched out his currently unreleased (in the UK) album on my return. This guy really has a story to tell and he delivers it with a positive message. There is no bling here, no unnecessary referral to his biatches, just solid, interesting story telling of a life un-glorified by Hollywood, growing up in the poverty of Africa. There is a classic yet fresh feel to K’Naan’s rapping style, with musical influences from Africa and American hip hop evident. His live, humble performances will only strengthen his popularity and he is sure to be a star of 2007. Review ID: 10000000001760928 Was this review helpful? Report this review |
