The 300 Spartans (DVD)

In essence this is a good film, however it has been cunningly re-released as 300 came out, this version is the same story but much older. Still not a bad film but if you like your modern cinematics and special effects, you'll be dissapointed!

a great film to watch full of action and not too much over the top like some films you buy a realistic genuine approach to the film action realistic which you do not get in other films made similar

For the time in which this film was actually made the film is very good indeed. Those were the years of the "Spaghetti Westerns" and the historical "Peplums". Clearly in this day and age they may seem childish to the new generations, but in those days they were the heroes of my generation. Not knocking the recent version of the 300 Spartans, which I also have, the film is no doubt a good bit of cinema history and worth watching.
