Texas Instruments TI-89 Titanium Scientific Calculator

This calculator is probably overkill for most people but what I find useful is:

1) It shows calculations as you type - then you execute to find the answer

2) The history - go back to previous calculations and their answers

3) Amazingly accurate - 4 more digits of accuracy than my Casio scientific calculator

4) Has EEPro program - for electronics - do electrical calculations - work out the value of a resistor. Very handy if you're in the electronics field

5) Very fast!

Bad things are the screen - no backlight and text is fairly small. Still perfectly usable - just would be nice if the backlight was there and font could be made larger.

Also fairly complex to use - plus the manual is pretty poor. Could do with a getting started guide. However a search on the Internet found some good guides and there is also a dummies guide for the calc available off Amazon.

Otherwise a very good calculation - very powerful but also very complex.
