Definitely worth a listen

I saw Tara Blaise in concert in May 2006 at a special event supporting Ronan Keating (it was part of the celebrations marking the end of a major golf tournament). She performed supported only by two guitarists on acoustic guitars and between them they pulled off a great set. I bought the album on the strength of this performance and was not disappointed. I have no idea how this album has been reviewed in the press but someone may have mentioned some similarities with the Corrs (but without violins). I found her voice clear and pleasing (it's not Janis Joplin - more Lene Marlin), the songs thoughtful and original and I would definitely buy the next album. The album features a whole band (not just guitars). At the concert she interspersed original songs with some great cover numbers (Heart Of Glass etc). She ended the set with a slow ballad version of "I believe in a thing called love" by the Darkness. Respect. The album is all originals though.
