Tamron AF 28-200mm f/3.8-5.6 XR Di Aspherical IF for Nikon

One of the first companies to offer an extreme zoom range lens, Tamron used aspherical lenses and their own BBAR multi-coating to make this lens possible. With a max aperture of f3.8-5.6, this lens wins no prizes for speed, but makes up for it in versatility and convenience. The original "only lens you need" is still up there optically and produces excellent results.

I recently bought one of these after trying a Tamron 18-200mm.
The Tamron 18-200mm was a very disapoining for me, I found that photos at 18mm were no good as I lost a lot of the corners, and that it was only ok by the time it got to about 28mm before this was gone. So I decided to try the 28mm to 200mm instead (which are cheaper) of which I am very impressed with, and a pre owned one on e bay is alot cheaper as well.
