The Strangers (DVD)

A LOT OF HYPE HAS BEEN WRITTEN ON THE INTERNET ABOUT THIS FILM, AND GIVEN ITS TWO DECENT 'NAME' STARS AND THE ODD PUBLICITY SHOT I THOUGHT THIS COULD BE A REALLY DECENT FILM - WRONG, TOTALLY BORING, NOT SCARY, SEEN IT ALL BEFORE. IT TAKES SO LONG FOR ANYTHING AT ALL (AND I MEAN ANYTHING) TO HAPPEN THAT I DOUBT MANY WILL WATCH THE ENTIRE SUPPOSED 'UNCUT' 98 MINUTES. WHAT THE HELL WAS WORTH CUTTING OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE ? ANYWAY,TWO PEOPLE IN REMOTE HOME ARE TERRORISED (EVENTUALLY) BY THREE MASKED IDIOTS, THE END.

No were near as scary as it looked in the trailer, thought it left to many questions. Not enough jumpy moments, to prodictable and for it having a big name in it was badly acted.

this film was recommended to me, so i bought it of ebay,.... what a load of rubbish, theres was only about 20 words spoken in the whole film, there was no story line to it at all, i'm just glad i got it cheap and didnt pay the full shop price for it

I bought this DVD on a whim and glad I did. Certainly a film I would recommend - picture quality very good (upscaled to 1080p on my Blu Ray player) and audio likewise. The plot is different albeit a variation on a theme. Acting on all counts was first class and was well directed.

I like this film because it gives you goosebumps nand not just a killing film it is clever what they have done to ,ake it this way.It is a film what you can watch more than once and still enjoy ti.

its so gripping and well acted. top score for this film. liv tyler and co create a bery true feeling of entrapment and insecurity as they are terrorised by masked vigilanties.

A must see for any Horror or Thriller fan! Keeps you on the edge of your seat! Liv and Scott both play great parts in this, although the whole film is only set in one house, dont let this put you off!

I bought this dvd expecting to be scared out my wits - was sadly disappointed. The film is good but not that scary. Its definately not a horror film more a psychological thriller.
