Stiff Little Fingers Inflammable Material
From the explosive start of Suspect Device, you know that you are in for a rare treat. The noise and intensity that is captured on this debut album, and the combination of Jake Burns and his grating voice, this is everything that captures the sound of the era.
But don't be surprised to find some great melodies along side the thrust of songs like Alternative Ulster and the before mentioned opening track. Barbed Wire Love even gives you a 50's doo wop throw back. Then there is the magical Johnny Was, an 8 minute story that builds to such a pwerful climax.
Without doubt one of the most underestimated punk albums of all time. If you are into punk rock, and you dont have this album.....well then you're not into punk rock at all.
