I decided to buy this DVD as i am a huge fan of Stephen King. Mainly for sentimental values but anyway...
This isn't 1 of the better Stephen King films but none the less it is still very watchable.
It is a bit long winded and does take time to actually get into the film but when it does its not bad at all. Through out the film it got me thinking how clever the dog actually was (as in its acting).
As a whole its a mildly entertaining film and can be watched more than 1nce.

I decided to uy it as I was watching Friends and Joey was telling Racheal what a great film it was, and then she watched it alone and was terrified! I wondered if it was a real film and after a few failed attempts at spelling it, found it. Its quite low budget, but the story line is certainly original, which for me is a rare thing these days. Actings not terrible either, but then again I don't tend to notice!

5/5 Excellent! How Horrifying a small car can be !!!

Story:
Based on Stephen King's novel about a new England family beset by a murderous terror: the family dog. Intense.

Comments:
5/5 Excellent! How Horrifying a small car can be !!!

The intro of this movie is a bit too long, but it has to be, because the focus of it, is situated at a car that's half broken, with no battery to start the car, waiting for a killer dog to take out and kill the occupants.

Stephen King did 1 HELL off a good job creating this movie.
It is NOT mend to look as a B-Movie, it's low budget because they wanted to keep it original, realistic and it don't have to be all big budget, because it's about a killer dog who has rabbies.

Very scary, mind you, this movie is of the '70's or so, so some things are rather old in the movie & all.

Great To watch, definately recommendable. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I watched this film for the very first time when i was about 13yrs old, sneaked my T.V on late one night while staying at my Grans! If i remember rightly i actually peed the bed later that night! Anyway 15rs on and i found that very same film in a famous music store, so had to buy it, was anxious to get home and see if it still had the same affect on me...it did minus the pee!!

This film was obviously made with a low budget, but that doesnt matter. Dee wallace plays her role beautifully...and the dog well..he's got some bite. Check the camera work out too cause i do believe this is what makes this film so scary, it brings a great atmosphere and suspense with lots of "jump out your seat and bite your tongue scenes" : )

An excellent adaptation of a short little book by the master of horror, Stephen King.
