Steel Magnolias (DVD 2004)

I am such a fan of all the female actresses and knew what a compelling and moving film this is! It has so much humour and truth and sadness in it all at the same time. One minute you are bawling your eyes out and the next you are laughing! I would recommend this movie to all who love these characters.

Smaltzy maybe but full of great actors.I defy the most stony hearted of you not to shed a tear.Also gleaned a great wedding outfit idea - we have three this year. So a gentle watch and one I would reccommend.

This is one of the best films I have ever seen. It is very true to life and is very moving. It is the only film that has made me cry and laugh at the same time. Absolutely wonderful.

All the actors are excellent and I wil recommend it whole heartedly.

This is a great film with a great cast of actors/actresses. The story lets you into what Southern USA would be like to live in..with close-knit communities etc.

I watched this move some years ago and really enjoyed it good girlie film, funny and sad....bought it as i hadnt seen it in ages!!! no dislikes

I bought it because i was sick of using my video when i taped it about 10 years ago - now i have the dvd. I totallylove this movie.

Can not recommend this film enough allht ewomen in my family have a copy of it its fantastic, one minute your crying, the next your falling around laughing, there isnt another film out there like this bloody brilliant, fantastic cast, great story based on ther writers own sisters life, great music, there isnt anything that lets it down. Just a film to love.

I've seen this move in tv when I was a child and I think is excellent .This simple story about normal ordinary people and their life can take your breath away

I totally agree that this film is brilliant. It is such a good movie. I am a fan of all these ladies and am collecting alot of movies with them in. As they are all good acteresses

A nice happy but weepy film with good actors. Saw the film on TV and really enjoyed it so decided to get a copy to keep.

I loved this film when I had it on video in the early 90s, it got played over and over.. so the DVD purchase was a no brainer after not watching it for so long.

I just found myself laughing at the dialogue this time around. The acting is still amazing, the cast are great, esp Shiley McLaine.. and would recommend it to anyone, but its not aged well at all.

If you want to watch a GREAT weepy movie that STILL works, rent Beaches!!

i decided to bye this because my mum wanted it when she saw it on television she said she really wants it. she said she really likes it and said shes glad she asked me to get it.

bought for the other half, but must admit.. a good film. well directed, funny and sad. good for the settee when the kids are away!
