Blast from the past - Starsky and Hutch dvd's

when the series was first shown on tv - I liked it, it was American and fashionable, and the 'dark one' was a dish, but I didn't spend much time watching t.v. (Social life, 20, and all things associated with being that age.) I worked in a record store and loved David Soul's voice, so I knew more about that aspect of the actor who played Hutch. the series is now on Sky and I've started watching the series as though for the first time. the Dvd's I bought show every episode ever made and it is a treat. not just to see the clothes in colour for the first time (we didn't bother with a colour tv) which look mad now but were then so trendy, but also to watch the two characters/actors react to one another. it is a joy to see two people who obviously are totally at ease and happy in each others company - the friendship between the duo is the essensce of the series. the stories can be a bit naff at times and actors from previous episodes pop up (which is a bit odd) but if you are prepared to suspend disbelief and let it happen you will find watching Starky and Hutch a dream - great stuff!
