Stargate S.G. 1 - Series 8 - Complete (DVD)

Brilliant season. Box set of 6 DVD's containing 22 episode. Sadly see's General Jack O'Neill slowly leaving the show. Great stories, thrilling effects, great season!

This boxset is a fantastic watch. Its the end for the Replicators & the Gauld, OR IS IT. Jack O'neill is still his witty self i like him. Christopher Judge (Tealc) helps free the Jaffa. And SG1 get one step closer to finding the lost city of the ancients (Atlantis) I will highly recommend this series to everyone. STARGATE is a brilliant idea and works very well. It makes you wonder if it could be happening right now in Area 51.

I have been a fan of the Stargate SG series since my first viewing of the Stargate movie starring Kurt Russell. The TV series captivated my sci-fi soft spot and I have now collected all the first 8 seasons (DVDs). I will evetually buy the 9th and 10th seasons when they are released. It is a pity that the series is not shown on any local cable TV channel, except for one which is in German! The Stargate series has also caught the imagination of my two kids and wife.

The series is exciting since it blends historical and myth features with a sc-fi background in the most "convincing" way! Moreover the whole episodes are a whole plot right from season 1 (not to mention the movie), with the story evolving in an unabated way. Stargare Atlantis appears to be an equally good success.

I am looking forward to the next seasons.

As usal, very good, Although I'm a great lover of SG1 and will continue to buy all the seasons, I feel that they are starting to drag the story on for too long, come on, how many times can you save the world before it gets repetitive?

So if you are still reading this ... be careful - it is sometimes what a seller does not state that masks a problem - bear in mind what the BNIB price is.

Season 8 contains some classic episodes and those occasional not so good ones - but its all part of the STARGATE stable and its good.

its not quite the same without old jack not going off world and you sort of miss hammonds jowly jaw too!

great series! the team up to their normal alien zapping, in the sticky moments as is their lives always seem to fall into. so go and buy it now! you wont be disappointed. the wife and i are real fans.

I am a big fan of stargate and recently purchased series 1-7 on ebay. But i didn't have enough for series 8 until recently.
I think the 8th series is one of the best, funny, and full of action. It would cost a lot more if i was to buy it from a shop, so the price was very reasonable. It wasn't even second hand, still had the protective cover over it.
And the fact that i am a big Michael Shanks fan, this series i think is the best for his characters developement.

Stargate SG1 Series 8 has turned out to be a fantastic continuation of the original 7 series. If you have followed this show from the start, you will be fully aware of the characters and their qwerky mannerisms. Richard Dean Anderson is superb as usual as Jack O'Neil. Samantha Carter, Dr Daniel Jackson and Teal'c have all aspired to develop their own characters in fantastic fashion and I would recommend this box set to anyone. For those original Stargate fans, this is a must have item which, like me you will enjoy time and time again. As Teal'c would say, "Indeed"!
