Have watched stargate from when I saw the movie in the cinema's and was thrilled when it became a tv show. Have never missed an episode and am now as much a fan of Atlantis as I am of SG1. They have to be my all time favourite sci-fi tv shows with the X-Files of course.

I have always been a great admirer of the SG1 series and have collected most of the DVD's. It took me a while to get equally interested in the Atlantis series, but now I am a keen watcher. I have seen most of the episodes on SKY but obtaining the DVD is far better to watch as there are no interuptions and also the extras which are always included are also very amusing and informative.

I GOT THE DVD,THAT WAS NICE .BUT NEVER WATCH IT, BECAUSE SOME CODE 12 POP UP.I WISH I COULD,I MIGHT GIVE BETTER REVEIW. GOT A DISK CAN'T WATCH.HEY YOU GUYS YOU SEND ME ONE THAT WORKS?BUT STUCK WITH ROUND DISK,THAT I CAN USE AS A COASTER.THAT SUCKS!

) I love watching Stargate Atlantis on tv, but somehow managed to miss all of Season 2, therefore this purchase was a must to me until the complete Season was issued.
SG-A is a spinoff from Stargate SG1, itself a spin off from the 1994 movie Stargate. Atlantis is set in the Pegasus Galaxy, many millions of miles away and accessible only through the star gate. The team is made up of scientists, led by the wonderful Dr Rodney MacKay, whom you either love or hate...I personally love him, he makes me laugh, a medical team led by Dr Carson Beckett, a real sweet Scots man, and the military command led by Lt Col John Sheppard (promoted from Major at the start of this Season) The whole expedition is under the leadership of Dr Elizabth Weir.
There are friends...Teyla and the Athosians and enemies - really nasty pieces of work known as the Wraith and the military style Genii. In these episodes we meet Ronan, a runner for the Wraith who has been used by them for 7 years as a means of exercising and practising their foul way of life, and who, after being set free from the tracker they implanted in him, joins Col Sheppard's team. Yes its Sci-fi, but set in the present time, therefore there are plenty of references to our own time.
For me this show has everything, action, humour, scary bits and everything else that makes for really good viewing. Great show, wonderful purchase.
