Introducing the next generation

Background
I bought this set as my 6 yr. old boy twins recently caught the Star Wars bug. I know there are sets out there with all 6 films, but episodes 1-3 are definitely for an older audience and I realise that it would be difficult to explain why they could only watch episodes 4-6 in a set of 6. So this seemed an agreeable compromise.
Price
Of course it also makes a difference in the price, with 4-6 sets like this one being less expensive because of the 1-6 sets out there.
Viewing experience
We've watched the movies as a family and, having seen the originals a number of times, the digital remastering makes a big difference, especially if you watch the films on a tv with a high screen resolution.
Longevity
The boys have seen the films for a second time already and compared to other films aimed at a similar age range, these films do capture their attention very well and have sparked hours of role play since as well as the acquisition of some Lego Star Wars sets. I anticipate that they'll get a couple of years of regular viewing pleasure out of them, with the added bonus of them picking up more and more nuances of the stories as they get older.
Film rating
This set is rated PG, even though the 3 films are all rated U. The PG rating is because there is an extra (PG rated) DVD in this set with hours of bonus material. I haven't watched this disc yet so in all honesty cannot comment on its content.
Summary
This set completely fits the bill for us but I would also recommend it to lovers of the original movies, as episodes 1-3 just don't completely cut it in my view.
