There is interest in every episode, and whilst there is sadness and death and romance, they are by referral to rather than having it thrust in your face. It makes excellent watching and I thoroughly recommend it and any of the Star Trek DVD;s!!

Packaging good and bad. Silver coloured box protects DVDs well but could be more imaginatively designed. Labels on DVDs are very similar - have to look closely to find sequence numbers and don't display all episode titles. Replay quality, chapter access etc all fine.

I am a trekie and found this to be very good value for money. I wanted a collection of the best of the 1st or 2nd series and this one seemed perfect. Star Trek next generation is the best of all star trek formats. Although I am old enough to remember the original star trek, I prefer next generation with Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Gates McFadden et al.

) Star Trek TNG was, is and will be one of the greatest Sci-Fi programmes ever created. The cast are just absolutley sublime, and with this new show, you can feel the excitemnt and novel characteristics coming through on screen. Whatever genius thought of casting the fantastic Patrick Stewart should have a bench erected in his honor in a park, for what an incredible job he does! The awesome RSC actor really gets a chance to strut his acting prowess and proves his worth. The direction is simple and affective and the incredibly detailed enviroment really draws you into their world. A fantastic programme, right at the start of their seven season epic! a must for any sci-fi fan!

I would have written an amazing account of why I bought this classic film on dvd and also added a professional review about the content. However, Ebay never offered to pay me anything to "do a write-up" (I only wanted 10p per word) so I can only say that the dvd is ok. Ergo, vis-a-vis, concordantly: good-ish. And that is it. Sorry. There are some people who will pay a lot of money to read crap in magazines but nobody wants my profound and wise thoughts in ink (or more accurately, in electronically-generated pixelled characters which are sent through cyberspace at millions of bytes per second), do they? Oh no, no, no. They want anything I say for free. AND then steal the ideas! So bog off.
