Staind - Break The Cycle [PA] (CD 2001)

I bought this CD because I really enjoyed listening to the song that was sung with Staind and Fred Durst,I heard it on the radio and did not know at first who it was, I had heard of Fred Durst but never heard of Staind.I then seen them perform the song on one of the music channels on SKY and it was fantastic, the power in their voices was tremendous. I had the song taped but tapes are not quite as powerful as CD's so I was fortunate enough to find it on ebay as it was so difficult to find anywhere. I love the songs on the CD as they all seem to have meaning and I can't say that there is any of the songs on the CD that I dislike. This man has to have one of the most awesome voices I have heard in a long time, yes I suppose everyone has their own taste in music but I think if you had the chance to listen to this then you would be quite impressed. I think that as a band they would perform in a concert really well, I have heard a few of their songs sung with minimal or no music backup and he can sing!!! My next aim is to hear them in concert.

i borrowed this cd off a friend i was really surprised how really great the songs are very like limp bizkit but with a twist the songs really do seem to come from the writers heart i gave it back to my mate & went straight on to e-bay to get my own copy best to have the volume up high with the lights on dim i will be getting their other lp's to see if they match up to this one buy it you wont be disappointed

this cd is by far the best cd by this artist ever. staind are the best band for when ur chillin or a bit up set. i love this cd.

I bought this cd as a gift for my daughter,she had been wanting it for ages.
I have listerned to it many times myself & it is an excellent cd.

I have always liked songs that are seemingly from the heart, and Aaron Lewis's song writing definitely fits the bill on this level. The songs seem to be written on a very personal level, as though he has been through the highs and lows of life and made notes along the way. Listen to 'its been a while' and the live version of 'outside' and tell me if you cannot feel the passion and experiences in the song. There is not a track on this cd that could not have been released as a single, they are all that good. If you do get a chance to catch Staind live, dont miss the chance, from the back injury defying guitar work of Mike Mushok to the gravelly voice of Aaron they are simply stunning. For a roller coaster ride through the life of one of the most under-rated song writers in the world, buy this cd, turn all your lights off and turn up the volume. I promise, you will not be dissapointed.
