Reviews This is the first album by RHCP that i didn't bother buying when it was released, since the days of pre-BloodsugarsexMagic. Don't know why, i just didn't get round to it somehow ! Then, seeing the video on MTV for the first single from this album, just a few weeks ago, it struck me that i STILL didn't have the album, and couldn't think why ! So, found it, at bargain price on ebay, and it's excellent. Frusciante's input is very high, his profile i think is more to the fore now, since all the excellent solo work he did a couple of years ago [ i can massively recommend the albums he released ] but the tunes are all here, the songwriting brilliant, none of the material is inaccessible or dull, i can recommend this album to anyone. As a big chili's fan I was very keen to get it but it didn't quite deliver in the sense that nothing really jumped out at you upon the first 2-3 listens. However, as I continued to have it playing in the back ground while I worked it really did start to grow on me and I felt I had perhaps judged it a little too harsely. I find it much more mellow then their earlier albums, but that isn't a bad thing. Well worth having, as all of their albums are! Review ID: 10000000005653697 Was this review helpful? Report this review I absolutely love this album and haven't stopped listening to it since i bought it. It's a double album, Jupiter and Mars. Jupiter is defintiely my favourite and has was on continuous playback in my car when i first got it and I keep going back to listen to it on a regular basis. Mars is more easy listening and slower but still great. Each disc has 14 tracks. I've always been a RHCP fan but this album by far outweights Californication and By The Way, their previous 2 albums. Buy it or regret it!!! Review ID: 10000000005290448 Was this review helpful?
