Spy Kids 2 - The Island Of Lost Dreams (DVD 2003)

my kids love this dvd they had it and it got broke so we have been looking for a replacement now they are over the moon i asked them to say why they like it so much its brillant fab i just love it they just keep watching they are really happy cose they have all 3 again fantastic must have and must watch

i love the spy kids movies and always have, but i only had the first one on an old video so decided to buy all three of them on dvd as they take up less space and theyre always there for when i want to watch them!

Spy kids2 is an excellent action,sci-fi adventure film that has abit of everything in it, much better than home alone & spy kids.some u rated films can be scary, this film has been cleaverly made with special effects & slight humour.full of action, captivates the imagination, enjoyable & exciting.
this film is a mix of sinbad,jurrassic park,home alone, indiana jones,james bond ect,old & new classics all mixed up & downsized & blended to make a unique type of fresh & modern children's movies.
A cleaver use of camera angles, sounds & special effects.cool & not so cool gadgets lol.
the great thing about using children is that it appeals to children & young teenagers as they can identify with the main characters but at the same time adults can also enjoy it as it appeals to all ages.
i watched spy kids2 on t.v & enjoyed it,my daughter really liked it, so much so that i decided to buy it on dvd for her. I thought the mixed up creatures & the fighting skeletons would scare her,cleaver little scenes that turned out to be quite funny.pigs really do fly in this movie.
There isn't any blood or gore or swearing,doesn't need to be.
although this film is suitable for all ages i think a child needs to be of an age where they can understand it to fully apreciate how well it has been put together. there is an emphasis on loyality & family values & morals, a hint of irony & undertones of reality.(emotions,reactions,behaviour,trust,disapointment ect)
A great story line.type of film that can be watched over & over= value for money.
it's hard to find any fault with this film.the quality of acting is mainly done by the children.The emphasis is on the children(really cool) the adults are a bit lame in comparrision but that combination works really well,it's meant to be that way.
everyone has different views points, watch it & write a review, you may agree or disagree with my intepretation it would be interesting to see how others precieve this fantastic film. i hope you have found some of this information useful

what a brilliant film loved it great family entertinment would recommend it to friends and theirchildren

Following up from SK1 this is bigger and better, Bought for my kids after seeing on TV, they loved the 1st one and realy like the sequel. Worth a look if you have kids.

I bought this DVD for the children, as they loved the series that was put on the TV over the Christmas period. They have since watched this many times and enjoy it as if it was the first time they have watched it. It should be watched as part of the Spy Kids series to make it more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Great kids film. Loved by my 6 year old so not too complicated a plot and no violence. Great characters (eg Steve Buscemi as a paranoid mad scientist) and gadgets. Some jokes for the adults too.

This isnt as good as the first one, but its not bad especially if you like the whole collection of Disks, I t was very basic, but i must admit that the ending was sweet, and the in laws are quite funny too.
