Spooks - Series 5 - Complete (DVD)

Spooks has enormous panache and class and breaks all the rules of a drama. It must be the only drama which actually kills its heros!

Once you see past the fact there are new faces with few old ones and that some of the old ones get killed; season 5 is probably the best season so far. There is an introduction of a new character and once you get over the fact it’s the lady from Cold Feet; Hermione Norris – Ros Myers is probably the best character ever to walk the halls of Spook’s Thames House. Her and Harry Pearce for me anyway.

The plots are totally thrilling and have you on the edge of your seat even if at times they leave you thinking – “I hope the real MI5 have more than a hand full of officers to carry out their work”. Especially since in Spooks many task are undertaken by one officer – then this is fiction and we all know how hard Bond has fought over the years single handed.

I think we can all agree that Spooks is the best thing to come out of the BBC licence fee!

My favourite season so far, great new characters and seriously addictive storylines. For me its the best show in it's genre.

I've watched this programme the first time it was on the TV.
And waited for them to be released on DVD,
which I've now got series 1 - 4.
And just has to purchase Series 5, and being it was on Ebay for such a rfeasonable price.
And glad to say I won.

bought a 50p single dvd at a car boot showing the first episode of spooks, now fully hooked again and have purchased the full series 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 now looking for 6.

I decided to buy Spooks - Series 5 as I love the series and have watched every episode up to now and think the series gives quite a good insight into the world of SIS

this is the best serie of spooks. the plots are very original, the suspense is very good all along the 10 episodes. It is very entertaining.

As a Spooks addict who only started watching from series 3, I have now purchased through ebay 1 - 5. This has to be one of the most exciting series on tv at the moment, incredibly well written, directed and acted, it keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat. Thoroughly recommended to anyone who is over 18, (some scenes are a little too graphic) but it is one of those programmed where if you miss a minute, you miss the plot; therefore requires quiet viewing time and lots of concentration.

Bought this after seeing Series 1-4 and can't fault it. lots of unexpected twists - only 1 character has been in all 6 series but that hasn't detracted from the quality also it's good for the actors as most have made other well known programmes since.

as a massive fan of the tv series, this was a complete impulse buy. it was my first ebay purchase and im thrilled it led me into this wonderful community.

Absolutely fantastic - like all the spooks series - not giving the game away, but the usual twists. If you love Spooks then dont miss this series.

I bought it because I have all 4 previous series and thoroughly enjoyed them all, although the first episode of the 1st series took me a while to get into.

This 5th series, similarly, I had to see all the episodes twice before I really "got into it". Can't really say why this should be, perhaps just me?
Once I did get into it I really enjoyed and am now looking forward to the issue of the 6th series on DVD and, hopefully, maybe a 7th & 8th to follow.
