  Number 1! Again!
Review created: 10/06/06

This album was released in 1997 and went straight to number 1. Selling over 25 million copys in the UK alone. The Spice Girls have been the most successful british band since the beatles and are still the best selling female artists of all time. Allthough they are slated by the media, they still hold literally ten's of world records.

Spiceworld, the album is their second album that was greatly received all over the world with their hit singles, Spice Up Your Life, Too Much, Stop and Viva Forever. This is one of the best albums I have ever bought and offers a song for every mood with a large variety of genres.

This is pop history and deffinatly to buy and keep just for its historical value.

Since Geri left the band, the girls went on to have another fantastic album, Forever. They also went about doing all of their own solo careers and since the split, this year (2006) has been rumourd a reunion. Will it happen? We will have to wait and see!

  spice girls spice world album
Review created: 31/03/09

i bought the spice girls second album spice world because it was signed by the memebers and i wanted to have the album again. i was a huge fan of the spice girls in their hey day who wasnt but i wanted to see if there music still sounded as good as it did all them years ago. as soon as i put this album on spice up your life comes on the first single from this album, it is still a good party song and it would have people old and young up dancing on the dance floor. the catchy la la las in this song and the samba beat make the song flow. it gets a 5 out of 5 because it will make you dance if you are a fan or not. the next song on the album was there third single of the album and the only spice girls track to get number 2 which is stop. this has a motown feel about the song and this makes it feel very 60s. the song is catchy again but this one might appeal to a more yonger audience than their other songs but its still a feel good song and mel c s vocials are good on this track especially at the end so i give it 4 out of 5. the next track is the second single of the album which got christmas number 1 which was too much the song is the first slow song on the album but this doesnt make it a bad thing because it shows off all of the spice girls voices by singing a slow one instead of the upbeat songs what went before it i like this track so i will give it 5 out of 5 because it stands up to the test of time and it deserved to get number 1. the next song on the album is saturday night divas and the song grabs you from the start with the catchy chrous and emma is quite good on this one with her and mel c singing the bridge it is a bit slower than stop and spice up your life but thats not a bad thing its quite a cool track so i will give this 5 out of 5. the next song is never give up on the good times and this is the spice girls at there best a really poppy track a feel good track and the song words are very catchy and all the girls voices never sounded better they have mautered from their first album spice and this shows they sound more comfortable and better with time. so i will give this track 5 out of 5. the next song was to the pepsi adverts which was move over it is catchy as all the spice girls songs where this song is rapping for the girls and they manage to pull it off so i will give this song 4 and a half out of 5. the next song on the album is do it from the start you have mel c s booming voice which draws you into the song as she sings come on come on this song is another poppy number from them but this seems to be lacking from the oter numbers it goes along nice but i feel this one could go somewhere else but the bit near the end is the best bit but then it goes off and mel b and melc sing a bit too much in the verses but emma makes up for it on the bridge so i will give this song 4 out of 5. the next song is denying this is a slow song but it packs a punch with the lyrics and the girls sing with so much emotion in the song and because of this the song stands up well with the rest of the album.so i will give it 5 out of 5. next song is viva forever what can i say about this song best song of their career glad this got number 1 5 out of 5 if i could give more for this song i would. the last song is a cheeky little number but they could of just made viva forever the last track instead of the lady is a tramp its good but it could of been before viva forever so i give it 4 out of 5.so the over all score is 46 and a half out of 50.

  I've Spiced Up My Life!
Review created: 01/10/08

Colours of the world, spice up your life!
Every boy and every girl, spice up your life!
People of the world, spice up your life!
Ahhhhh
I LOVE this album, its one of those albums that you can play from start to finish and never come across a boring song. A great follow-up to their first hit album SPICE - the girls have done it again. Emma Bunton and Melanie C shine throughout the whole album, particularly in Viva Forever; the last single released before Geri's departure. Mel B's vocals in Too Much are great, while Victoria and Geri bring that little something extra to Never Give Up On The Good Times. My favourite track on this album has to be Stop; I love the 60's feel to it. Personally i feel the weakest track to be either The Lady Is A vamp or Denying, but both are still listenable and good fun.

SPICE GIRLS - SPICEWORLD (CD 1997
Review created: 03/03/07

I BOUGHT THIS CD, AS MY OLD COPY WAS A BIT SCRATCHED & ME & JULIE LOVE LISTEN(NG TO THIS CD. SO I WENT ON EBAY TO GET ANOTHER COPY. I DIDN'T COST AS MUCH AS IT WOULD OF, IF I'D OF GONE TO A SHOP & BOUGHT, SO I SAVED MONEY, EVEN WHEN YOU ADD THE P&P, IT STILL COST ME LESS & IT WAS IN GREAT CONDITION (NO SCRATCHES) & WE PLAY THE CD REGULARLY. OBVIOUSLY THERE WILL BE TIMES WHEN IT COULD COST MORE, BUT THATS THE WAY AUCTIONS GO. MANY THANKS EBAY. PLUS I'VE BEEN A REGISTERED EBAY MEMBER FOR A LONG TIME & PLAN TO CONTINUE BE AN EBAY FOR A LONG TIME IN THE FUTURE. THANKS.
