Speed is a story of a cop who lives by the seat of his pants. He dragged his partner into danger at every turn. He always gets lucky, and as a result thwarts the plan of a mad man with a bomb.
But the madman gets away, and plans his revenge. He plants a bomb on a bus.. when it goes above 50 it is armed.. if it drops below 50 it blows up!
So starts an amazing thrill ride. Sandra Bullock is a great "love interest", Keanu Reeves is perfect as the all action hero.
A superb film, maybe not for little ears due to bad language.
Speed 2 was one of those sequels that should never have been made.
Especially without Keanu Reeves in the lead. Sandra Bullock was obviously harder up for money, so reprises her role as Annie, with Jack only mentioned as a relationship that did not work out. She has now hitched up with one of his mates from SWAT.. so quite true to life then.
It revolves around them going on a cruise ship, which is taken over by a madman, who controls the ship by remote control.. yadiyadiyar..
Sorry, no match for the original, although bigger on the stunts (cruise ship drives into harbour!).

Both Speeds
) Speed and Speed 2 Cruise Control are two great films i wanted to buy this as i liked the films so much. I saw this as a double pack and thought it was even better two for the price of one and it saves space as it comes in one dvd case, a must for ant keanu reeves fans aswell.
