its amazing how good this 24 year old ska actually is .surprisingly it still has a huge following ,great fun music.

This cd brings back all those memories of bing young and cool in the 80s.
A must for all you SKA fans.

If you were a teenager when all this ska revivalist stuff was happening then this is a great album to bring back some memories and I have rated this as excellent because it really is like a snapshot of the early eighties and youth culture of the time.

Unfortunately, for me, the music itself hasn't really stood the test of time. Production is tinny and the songs now seem small and irrelevant.

But if you're an old boy, like me, then its fun to dip into this album on a nostalgia trip.

The Specials are a truely excellent ska band but this album shows they are more than just that. With classics from them such as 'Ghost Town' and 'Rudi,A Messege To You' this album will definatly not disappoint the original fans of 'The Specials' and should definatly attract more!! At the end of this album is a few tracks from 'The Spcial A.K.A' which has the original drummer (John Bradbury) from the specials. These tracks i had totally forgotten about and didnt realise it was from the same band...am sure we all remember the 'Nelson Mandela' song once its played!!! Fantastic album.....would reccommend it to any ska fan!

wow!!! this even got my 7 yr old daughter and my 3 yr old son skankin about!!!! Finally...a cd i love that the kids dont complain about!!! Plus they think its hilarious when my skinhead brother and mates pop over for sunday dinner, cos they just cant sit still!!!

Good collection of songs. As time has passed, you can now pick the album up at quite a reasonable price. Which is a bonus. Good album to revisit, especially as ska is generally having a revival. (Just look at the rise in popularity of Madness at the moment).
