Spanglish (DVD)

Adam Sandler has been my favourite actor for some time but this has got to be the worst film i have ever seen him in. If you can keep up with the spanish and the translations it may be watchable. The dialogues of the characters seems to overlap and foreign words are brought in confusing the situation so that just when your brain can almost process what the hell's going on it needs to rest in case it's needed to watch paint dry. Please i'm trying to save you don't watch.

Rubbish. Don't buy it. Adam Sandler is a very good actor but he could not save this one. Doesn't end properly either

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film in digital format. It really does the love scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged spanish wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind her decision to learn english. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.

Average movie, boring storyline. Reason for buying it is because most of Adam Sandlers movies are good.

i bought this for my son as adam sandler is his favorite actor , and has started to collect all of his films , it is a nice story , even though the film has been on tv quite a few times its still worth buying if you like adam sandler

I rented this movie some time ago and I immediately decided to buy it. I just fell in love with this movie, but not because I think it's funny though. I think it's much more of a characterization of a group of people being stuck in a life that they, in the end, can't deal with anymore. I don't see it as two cultures meeting, but a meeting between people who needs someone to give them a push and a wakeup call. I think it's a rather sad money and maybe it's just me, but I don't think there's much funny about it. When I see it, it makes me think that you have to consider youre life and try to make the right decisions or else you can end up being stuck in something you can live with. This is of course my opinion, but it makes me sad everytime (in a good way) and I think it's a perfect "chick flick"...

As usual, Adam Sandler makes a possibly average rom com into something just that little bit special. Very good movie, I really enjoyed it.
