The Sopranos - Series 2 - Complete (DVD 2003)

Having watched Season 1, I was totally hooked; nothing was going to prevent me from getting the complete collection

The main plot of Series 2, sees Tony Soprano installed as the ‘Head of the Family’ and having to deal with the brother (Ritchie Aprile), of his best friend (Jackie Aprile), who has completed a 10 year jail sentence and wants to be ‘back in the action’.

The sub plots as ever keep you glued to the screen.

A well written and produced series, winning many deserved awards.

If you are already familiar with the film, and are about to add it to your personal collection, consider buying the Complete Boxset Seasons 1 to 7

(Not sure if it is available at the time of writing), it may be more cost effective.

Bought the sopranos cos it's brilliant best show on telly. Matt done a good job of getting them to me as soon as I bought them he shipped them to me.

This is a distinct change from the previous two series of The Sopranos, for a start we have a big new character Jackie Aprile Junior, whom we barely saw in the previous two series, and a new problem for Tony in form of Joe Pantaliano, whom is obviously another Richie Aprile in the making.
Surprisingly we see some of Richie Aprile Senior who died in season one, and Pussy Bompensiero who died in season two, both in the form of flashbacks, whilst Tony's mom, Livia Soprano has died.
We see very little of Christopher Moltisanti or Pauli Galtieri, whilst we see a lot more of Meadow Soprano. Interestingly their is a family aspect to this series, Stephen Van Zandts real life wife plays his wife in the series, whilst Jackie Aprile Juniors real life younger brother plays him in the flashbacks.
Stephen Bushemi actually directs episode 10 of the series.
I would say that it is a must for a fan, if however you have not watched seasons one and two, you will problems picking up the storylines.

The DVD Came as described, was in perfect condition and well packaged, in fact it was as good as new only alot cheaper than buying in the shops

i liked the first series so i decided to buy the rest, an excellent part of an excellent series.I also felt that buying it on ebay was cheaper than in the shops, retail price being around £60,it's totaly ridiculos.

Probably the best tv series ever made
continuing the saga of tony and co this series picks up from where season 1 left off
this is only the second helping of 6 great seasons that never tire

If you love Tony Soprano then you'll love this continuation from Series One. I watch my copy while on my treadmill and it makes the time go by so quickly, before I know it I've done 5,000 steps!

I think The Sopranos is a brilliant series. I missed it when it was shown on TV and I bought my husband series one as a present and now we are going to collect them all. I would recommend it to anyone.

The Sopranos in a few simple words is , the best television series to be broadcast , since John Logie Baird invented the television .

Have just started watching sopranos and thought the first series was great but the second series was even better........really can't wait for the third!

I decided to buy this boxed version, as I was one of the folk who never bothered to watch Sopranos at the peak of its popularity, so I just took a notion and have bought now 4 Boxed Sets on ebay - I just love how you can pop on a DVD and sit and maybe have a 3-hour fix at one go like a feature length version of Tony Soprano.

I bought this for my partner, he loves it, was a great purchase and price was very reasonable so happy with my purchase.

Bloody brilliant. Series 2 of the sopranos- packed full of action. Tony's sister Janice comes home to 'look after Mom' but sets up home with Richie Aprile who is trying to get Tony killed by linking up with Uncle Junior but he is having none of it. However, Tony doesn't have to worry about Richie as his sister shoots him dead after he hits her.
Dr.Melfi is on a downward spiral after treating Tony, but takes him back as she just can't keep away from him. She's also seeking therapy as she has become obssessed with Tony and has also become an alcoholic. Pussy is sort of revealed as conspiring with the government after Tony has some fucked up dreams. And Christopher recovers- although he thinks he's going to hell.

I've probably missed loads but this series is cracking. James Gandolfini is brilliant as Tony soprano. He portrays this deeply troubled character so well yet still manages to keep a dark sort of humour about him. He's one of the best in my opinion even though he murders loads of people, cheats on his wife and whatever I still just want to give him a hug. And there's loadsssss of laugh out loud moments in this series too!
When big puss is a fish in his dream... best programme ever.

Bought it as just finished watching whole of series one and got totally hooked.It is amazingly written and acted. Always a sign of a good series if you want to sit and watch 13 hours of it in succession!!!! Makes Scarface, The Godfather and everything else preceeding it worthless.
