The Sopranos, is a top quality series, following the hectic life of Tony Soprano. A modern day mobster, struggling to survive in the modern world of the mafia.

Tony takes comfort in his regular visits to Dr Melfi; his rather attractive psychiatrist, talking about his dysfunctional family. Including an extremely over bearing mother, and an interfering uncle that wishes to be the head of the Soprano section of the mafia.

Although The Sopranos is not directly a comedy, or a dark Goodfellas style series is does thouroughly entertain you and leave you with a warm feeling!

great dvd's but chinese at the beginning. great purchase though!!! The only real problem is that the DVD's come in the box set but within it they are only in plastic covers, however, still fantastic.

I had heard so many positive comments about this series, but did not have the opportunity to watch it on TV.It has proved to be even better than I imagined.The casting, direction and writing is superb.The clever interaction between the characters,their individual problems and relationships draws you into the episodes.Time and again you start to sympathize with them only to be starkly reminded that they are violent criminals. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Bringing back memories of how it all began. Superb acting and some very gory scenes in this brilliant series. Highly recommended

Great opening to a long and brilliant set of series. Get to know characters well. Series has got me hooked, so I`ll watch the rest for sure now.

Excellent First Series. One the best shows of the past 10 years. Up there with the greatest. The Emmy's it has won a deserved and long over due. This series its most definitely up there with some of the greatest TV shows of all time like "Sienfeld", "The Simpsons".

I bought this DVD after watching reruns of The Sopranos and becoming completely hooked. It's full of fascinatingly complex characters, great stories and razor sharp dialogue. All human life is in The Sopranos, in my opinion the greatest TV series ever made.

I am enjoying the series but its not quite as I imagined the series to be. I thought it was more about the violence of the mafia and not about the bosses feelings towards his family and friends.
Now I have series 1, I will buy the next series once I have finished this one. I find it very useful to have a series on the go when there isn't anything worth watching on TV.

i bought it because Ive watched the first two series of sopranos and ive really enjoyed them. This is the best series for me as I know all the characters in it now. Its good entainterment cant wait to watch the next series

Great T.V program one of my all time favourites and this is probably the best of all six series. If you like 'gamgster' films etc. or even just drama's this is a must see!

i heard a lot about this series but had never watched it so decided to go for it.its great-well acted and the stories are never dull roll on the next series

Had started buying the series as soon as they came out so the first 2 I had on VHS, so I decided to replace them with DVD copies. If you like mafia films this is a fantastic modern every day life take on the whole thing - and the fashions are great too !! Buying it on ebay saved me money and the product was in fantastic condition, so I would recommend the seller too.

I have watched season 1 and think is one of the best TV series ever. Sadly, I could not watch the other seasons as the seller turn out to be a fraud. Once the claim is settled with PayPal, I will probably try to buy it again, as I am really lookig forward to watch the remaining series.

I never watched the sopranos on TV, but heard people rave about it. I looked at the boxsets in shops, but didn,t want to pay the full price - in most cases around 40.00gbp. I found the same set on ebay for 17.00, not a lot of money, especially if i didnt like it. Fortunately, i will be looking to buy series 2 in the near future, but not in the shops.

No real ned to review this series - it's all been said. It is simply the best drama ever. I've picked up the first series (again!) as I want to watch the complete story of Tony and Co from begining to end! (And I'll need to pick up the last two series again too. Once more they have been lost! How does this happen?)

This is great TV. I really enjoyed the way the characters developed throughout the series and how their personalities came through by the end of it. If you are expecting blood and guts Casino type gangster TV dont buy this. This is great gangster drama and I will buy the next series.
