Reminds me of my childhood brings back some funny memories but is good for this generation, my daughter who is five loved this and laughed out loud just like i did when i first watched it. Would recommend as this is a timeless classic.

CGI outdone by simple puppetry. Silent sooty genius.My little girl won a 20p tombola raffle at the school fair and decided to pick a Sooty "Big surprise" VHS tape. I knew she hadn't seen sooty before so I was a little surprised that she made this choice, as I expected it to collect dust once it was at home. Much to my BIG surprise it well surpassed our expectations and its 20p value. Even I laughed at it, especially sweep and his daft antics and silly questions (in squeak talk of course that Matthew translated for the children at home). After my little girl watched it 6 or 7 times, I promised to search ebay for more titles. Wet & Wild came up on DVD and I wasn't surprised to find they were still very popular, even on VHS format. I won it at a price that would have brought 2 maybe 3 action films, but so what again we were all entertained. My little girl laughed more than she did at Pixars Cars, Help me I'm a fish or The ant bully. Sooty and the gang are simple, inoffensive and delightful.

My children love the sooty show and they are quiet and totally engrosed when I put it on.It also runs for one hour so less time spent changing DVD's over.Quite humerous so adults can watch too and be entertained.

An excellent dvd. I brought this for my 4 & 2 year old girls who love Sooty. It has been watched time and time again. Lovely for me too because its the old Sooty that I used to watch as a child.
