Sony VPL-HS1 Multimedia Projector

Have used this model almost every weekend for 5 years at least. Cost over £1000 when first came onto the market. The bulb just goes on and on..tried a new one after 5 years but I could hardly notice the difference so, put old bulb back in. Still using it! The projection is best displayed on a cream coloured plain wall. I use a whole wall 8 feet x 12' and almost fill it from a distance of 20' approx. A good dark attic or spare room works well and with the audio output connected to a good Hi-Fi amp and floor standing speakers..well, who needs to go to the movies! Only things to watch for are:- Keep the filter clean or replace regularly. Do not power off at the wall or move the unit until the cooling fan stops!
