After browsing through ebay for a Sony Vaio for around £500 this model happened to popup, luckyly enough i'd found an ex display brand new boxed one for £500. After googling around to see what kind of price it went elsewhere, which ranged anywhere from £600 - £750, this seemed like a nice little bargain.
Beautiful in design, with a nicely set out keyboard, which i'm typing on at the moment, crystal clear display and some decent specs. This model laptop is ideal for anybody who wants a desktop replacement. With enough hard drive space to store plenty of music (80gb, readily split into two partitions), and an Intel Pentium M 1.7ghz processor, it can easily handle every day usage, from sending e-mails, to word processing.
The only downside I would say is that 512mb RAM that is included, which doesn't leave a lot of room to run multiple straining applications, especially graphics editing programs. However the maximum capability is 2gb, but as usual upgrading the memory can be quite expensive.
If you don't plan on any doing much gaming, and if you want a stylish laptop for everyday this then I would recommend this product well. Splashing out that extra odd £200 for a Vaio is well worth it, with enough features to keep you busy for a couple of days, including memory card reader, built in wireless network (B & G), DVD and CD writer, onboard modem and network, the list goes on. Check out google for a a full specification.
Definately money well spent.

This is such a beautiful machine to look at, when new and clean it is just a joy to behold. The screen is a wonderful size at 15.4" and its X-black finish together with dual lamps gives colours the correct hue and makes things so easy to read.
The dvd writer is a great addition to burn that data backup. The keyboard is good and responsive, allowing easy entry.
Its not too heavy but is a little wide so this should be considered if needed to be transported regularly.
Upgrading the memory and hard disk is very, very simple. As is creating and using the System recovery dvd.
Getting Sony updates has a great little utility to remind you and the methodology is also very quick and painless.
As the prices on ebay are between 250-350gbp then get yourselves a bargain today.

Purchased for daughter commencing college. Product was in good condition, reasonably priced and met all requirements. I have added seller to my favourites list and look forward to dealing with him in the future.

The Cpu on the Vaio FS515H may seem old fashioned but the Pentium-M running at 1.73ghz is about the same speed as a P4 running at about 3.2Ghz. That's why the Intel Core 2 Duo design was based on the Pentium-M Arcitecture rather than the P4.
This Vaio comes with Wireless built-in, DVD-RW, Memory card reader, Lovley X Black Widescreen Panel and can be upgraded to 2GB of Ram. I really don't think the pictures do this laptop justice, it's not only slim and light but the materials used feel of high quality and theres none of that creaking you get from the body of cheaper laptops.
Definetely recommend this to any one looking for an older model Sony..
