I bought the speakers due to the brand "sony" they have a good sound to them with a bit of bass but not enough for their size! sony should have used bigger drivers for sure, but apart from that i like their sound quality i would say they are more suited for a laptop so if you like your music blasting with heavy bass then these are not for you but they are very clear in sound and they look the part on any desk.

) We purchased the Sony SRS-A202 speaker set-up due to our old speakers 'giving up'. We wanted something small enough yet good enough to take on Holiday so we might perhaps be able to listen to the MP3 player / watch a film from the laptop.
When they arrived, I didn't realise that they would be so big! The quality is what you would expect from Sony - Good. Not great, but for a mass produced, functional item, good. I am sure that they will see many years of service!
Plugged them in to the mains, hooked them into the iPod and away we went - Sound OK. Again, not great but not bad either. Little / no bass which was a little bit dissapointing but good crisp clear sound.
The speakers do allow for two audio inputs which I thought was handy - Perhaps one into your PC with another still available for your MP3 player??
Overall, they do what they say on the box. I always work on 'Quality' vs. 'Cost' and to be honest, for the price paid (on eBay) they were excellent value for money. Perhaps a little bit large for a more 'portable' purpose but a good build quality and a good sound (as long as you don't mind no bass!).
