After having a selection of VCRs (no I will not name) from the cheaper end of the market I gave up and thought I should just sell my old video tapes and films and move on, but then I thought why? so after talking to a man (very knowledgable) from John Lewis's I was persuaded to look at Sony VCRs if I could find one! so on to good old e-bay and after a small wait to see my bid being the winning one I took delivery of a mint condition second hand one. It is such a quality product with up to date easy remote functioning and quiet to, all in all a quality product with a cheap price tag form a nice seller to.

Works just as it says, & does the job well.
Didnt notice any 'whining'sounds,that others have mentioned,
but perhaps thats because of my partial deafness.
All in all, easy to operate, & understandable instructions.

the reason we required this Sony video player was because all our TV equipment was Sony.
we installed the player yesterday and it works perfectly well with the rest of our system so we would like to say thanks to lain and e bay.

Wanted a simple VCR to replace one that had broken. Had trouble locating one and hence was delighted to find one on ebay at a great price. VCR working well.

I bought this machine because it seemed to be a reasonable price, for a reasonable machine. However I can't make a reasoned jusgement about how good it is, because it stopped working after I played it four times, having chwed up two of my tapes and swallowing one which it wouldn't regurgitate!.
I have a feeling that it had been left unused for some time by the seller, and seized up when used afresh. Anyway I got my money back from Pay Pal so all's well that ends well.
