Sony SCD-XE680 CD Player

The Sony SCD-XE680 CD Player appears to be the continuation, or may be just the silver coloured model, of the Sony SCD-XE670 CD Player. By now I think it's discontinued. I bought it to play SACDs in 5-channel audio, which I haven't yet done, but as a CD player it's clean, clear and detailed - certainly one of the best at budget price. It's a laid back sound you can live with for hours - certainly not in your face, thank goodness. It can be very fussy about the quality of CD it's willing to decode. My old Cambridge 540 is more tolerant.
