latest edition into sony's combi range.
Dvd recorder on one side, video recorder on the other.
Allows you to copy VHS to DVD, DVD to VHS - or record to DVD whilst watching a video or record to VHS whilst watching a DVD.
Great for transferring your old videos over to DVD, but lacking a freeview tuner which may become an issue as we enter the digital switchover.
Current retail price around £220. And now the only VHS left in the sony range.
Due to be discontinued over the next couple of months, so you may see some price drops as the new model launches.

I bought the Sony recorder because a friend of mine has bought an identical model on eBay. He sang the praises of how easy everything about it was.
I needed to replace an aging video recorder and thought that this would kill two birds with one stone.
He was right, I have now managed to convert most of videos to DVD with little or no problem.
So far I love everything about it and upto now have found nothing to hate.

On another topic I will mention my pet hate about eBayers. this is in the area of Feedback.
Sellers are reluctant to leave Feedback until the buyer has done so. This can't be right. The buyers job is to bid and pay up as quickly as possible, so the seller should leave Feedback as soon the buyer has done their part of the transaction. Too many times do we get "You leave good Feedback for me and I will do the same"
