This item was bought secondhand, for the sole purpose of converting my many LP's to CD'S. For a "Golden Oldie" this unit is a little too complicated for my needs, but is very capable, and produces excellent reproduction from my records. It also plays my CD's and the newly recorded CD's extremely well, with no perceptable loss of quality. All in all, I consider the Sony to be an excellent piece of equipment.

to record audio tapes onto - great piece of kit.ou need a separate tape deck and a cble that connects from the cd recorder to the tape deck..it is a little time consuming but worth getting rid of those old audio cassettes

Excellent and versatile recorder, it has the ability to copy cd's at high speed, name tracks and record individual tacks to create new cd's. It does need an amplifier/music system so you can use the speakers, it can also with the right connections record from tape or vinyl. VERY GOOD AND VERSATILE

I decided to buy this cd recorder because I had bought a Philips last year and being thickasabrick couldn't get it to work. This Sony had two cd trays, one to one I thought what could be easier for copying. One snag apart from myself, you bought it knowing it was broken, but very very cheap.I had a very good mate with a electrical repair shop.Explaining things to him he said he would give me ten minutes time foc, within this time limit he had fixed it and put it back in the box, what a bargain. The drawback to this tale, I'm still as thickasabrick and they both are giving me hours and hours of frustration. If anybody can explain how to work either one or the other please contact me on my e.mail dave.whitson@yahoo.co.uk many many thanks

Not applicable as the unit arrived damaged and I am still awaiting a refund. The seller has promised this and apologised for my trouble but I am concerned as the refund is not yet forthcoming. I always settle up anything I owe asap.
