  Sony PlayStation 2 Slimline Console

I bought this as a present for my boyfriend. We're short of money and I knew I could never afford to buy a new one, or a new PS3, so I looked on ebay to see what was available.

I got this PS2 Slimline console for 78 pounds, complete with two memory cards, 13 games and all accessories.

It came the next day and was exactly as described and in perfect working order. If it had been in the original box I would have thought it brand new!

My boyfriend was exstatic and we've hardly spoken since, as he is plugged into this thing most of the time now and I have been relegated to the bedroom to watch my tv programmes.

So, if you want to spend more time with your other half, I don't recommend you buy one, but all jokes aside, my boyfriend is really happy and so I'm happy.....plus I can now watch Emerdale, Corrie and Eastenders without critism :-))

It's versatile, the games are cheaper and there are millions of them... not just for the men of the house either i.e shooting monsters and football. What with a dvd recorder and a sky+ box under the television already it fits in perfectly. Also the xbox 360 over a £100 dearer.

Generally the play station 2 gives all round A1 performance, lots of games avalable, and it also plays D.V.D's,etc.Playstations in my eyes have always been a must where children and adults alike can enjoy, over the last few years from the P.S.1 TO THE NOW P.S.2 they have bought entertainment and enjoyment to many a household.
Sony is a name you can trust and the P.S.2 is a cracking console and will give many years of fantastic entertainment.

  Not had it's day yet!

Still the best selling console it's not hard to see why. There are millions of games and thousands of games in development still. Yes the PS3 is out there and focus will drift slowly there but here and now, PS2 is still where it is at.

For me personally though, as a PS3 owner, the PS2 is like its little brother now and I am starting to see it as a child’s toy. Which is perfect as with the amount of games out there, the PS2 is more suitable for the younger gamer then the PS3 and 360 could ever be at the moment.

The silmline is slick and easy to sit anywhere. Supporting fast network gaming as well as DVD playback it’s still a nice little entertainment system and still earns its place in any child’s room or adult’s living room.

In all, it will still be a couple of years before I could say: PS2, you’ve had your day now……………………

Quality item still popular with the kids

The PS2 I bought came with an X Factor game with microphone and a number of Eye Toy games and camera. The great value of the item really made it a must to buy for the kids, who had wanted a games console for some time.

With the release of the PS3, the price of PS2 consoles has reduced a great deal recently, making them an excellent buy. There are so many games available for the PS2, you are not going to have any problems finding the ones you like and many times getting them at reduced prices as the "gadget junkies" move onto newer consoles such as the Wii or the PS3.

If you don't have several hundred pounds to spend on a PS3, the PS2 is still a great games console which the kids will love.
