Well worth the money!

I bought this Walkman rather than an MP3 player as I appreciate the better sound quality, and its ability to record from other sources (TV, DVD, radio etc.) as well as through a microphone. It replaces my Sony MZ-R70 (that I sold today), which has proved to be very useful for these functions in the past.
The MZ-N710's technology goes a few steps further from the 'normal' MiniDisc recorder; using the latest version of SonicStage, I was able to put 4 hours worth of MP3s onto a 74min disc in about 10 mins - a marked improvement from having to do it in 'real time'. It also makes use of 'LP2' and 'LP4', which allows you to put 160mins and 320mins of music, respectively, onto an 80min disc.
The Walkman (like most Sony products) feels well made, aided by its metal top. The optical line-in records from CDs, DAB and FM radio with amazing clarity, with seemingly no loss of quality. The LED remote looks very cool and works well, and the battery life is phenomenal.
I bought this for a little under £30, though have seen them go for around £45. Obviously this is far far cheaper than their 'new' price (about 4 years ago), and for those contemplating buying, you will not regret it, it's well worth the money.
