Very easy to get started. If you prefer controls e.g. delete, shuffle etc. to be with you all the time rather than at home on your computer then the mini disc player has an advantage over the MP3 player. This player has the best of both worlds in that it has potential for connecting up to the computer or simply to use as a 'stand alone' - the way I use it at present. Quality of recording is excellent even on extended play.(320 minutes per disc on EP). Check you can get hold of minidiscs easily. My local electrical shop does sell TDK packs but not all will. Having all the relevant accessories is important and I made sure of this when selecting who to buy from.

The Sony Disc player is a quality item ( as all Sony products seem to be) and the seller was great , quick delivery and the item was as described.
I had purchased a classic car which had a Sony Mini Disc player installed, these are quite rare now as the system is out of date. however I was hoping to use it as the 10 Disc player in the car was tempermental & it won't play tapes.
It works great for my cd collection as I can now play them in the lotus. It was not possible to transfer my tapes to this system but perhaps I will be able to do this later.
As a Walkman it works fine and the sound quality is very good, it is perhaps larger than an MP3 player so that may be why it was dropped.
I have not seem any commercial discs available so it's use is limited to your existing albums- Blank tapes are available.
I doubt I would have obtained this item if Ebay was not around so well done Ebay!!.
