Its a great CD player holding 400 CD Discs or MP3 CD's so you can imagine the storage of your music and it can be added into your original hi-fi system as it had cd in and cd out phono connections. Its down fall is that from back to front size wise it about 3 inches longer that any standard full size hi-fi equipment, but if size is not an issue then this is lovely to have just fill it up once and forget about it for at least six months before having change the discs..

) I had previously owned the 300-disc version of this machine. This one, the CDP-CX455, as well having larger capacity has the ability to play MP3 files from CDs as well as ordinary music Cds. I discovered that the MP3 files have to be burned in "ISO" format, not just simply saved to CD. I used the free software "CdBurner XP" (using Vista) and it works simply perfectly.
As I don't want to convert all mu old Music Cds, but also have a swelling collection of MP3s, this machine is the perfect answer for both formats.

Wow! What a machine, great output quality, comes with keyboard to type in all your titles. Stores and selects any one of 400 cd's with ease

I love this piece of kit; I have wanted one for ages.
It looks and plays great.
It does not take up to much space, which is something that I worried about.
It does take some time to load and label but I could possibly find a better way to do it.
1 negative is that it only displays on one line with twenty characters. I wish that it scrolled down to show the whole title of an album.
I also wish that it could read the discs to list the tracks, and then I would not have to input, I think I have been spoilt by my MP3 lol.
The controls are very easy to use and the displays a nice subtle colour blue, easy on the eye.
The actual loading of the discs is easy.
I highly recommend that you GET ORGANISED BEFORE LOADING.
Leave gaps to add in more titles, if you have space.
I have gone for a basic alphabetical order, good idea, not sure. I have followed that up with Genre, i.e. Blues, Jazz, Soundtracks for compilations.
There is a lot to learn about this equipment, trouble is being a guy I have no patience and want it all loaded and working right away.
My wife and I have had fun loading it though.
Great to get rid of all the cases on the wall, up in the loft they go.
Tend to play more different stuff, great to browse.
All in all don't know why I waited so long, oh yeah!! money for a new one.
Next stop is a jukebox for some vinyl, or maybe several.
Final word, GET ONE !!!
