What a great player.
Solid Build quality that you expect from the Mighty Sony.
Very large remote control which some will see as a bad thing but at least you can't lose it and ALL the programming keys are easily used and very erginomic.

If however the remote (somehow!) goes missing then the jog dial on the front is amazingly easy to use.

The machine is 10/10 on usability and 11/10 for sound quality.

Overall this is the machine for all your listenig and music editing needs.

BUY ONE NOW - YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

very solid piece of equipment for the money

I found the MDS-JE330 to be a perfectly good and solid piece of equipment. It produces good quality recordings with ease, and all the basic functions are very straightforward and easy to operate. Admittedly entering track names and track divisions is time consuming since you are entering them character-by-character with the remote, but generally I was happy to leave my tracks unlabelled so this is not really an issue. The only real features this model lacks are a headphone socket and a digital output, but assuming you are using this in a hifi-seperates setup you should have a headphone socket in the amplifier, and as for the digital out, this is only really useful if you are looking to make perfect copies of existing minidiscs, and transfer data without loss of quality to another source, for the average user this will be unnecessary, but if you are looking to use a MiniDisc player as a cheap alternative to a DAT recorder in a home recording studio, you might want to look at the more expensive models which will have this feature. What the MDS-JE330 excels in is producing great recordings quickly and easily in the model under which a cassette deck might have been used in the past, but with much higher quality results at a price which won't break the bank!

  Sony MDS-JE330 Mini Disc Player

I bought this for a local church where I help with the P.A. I was asked to get a few so they could have one to play and a couple for various recording duties. This was the first I purchased, and although I was quite happy with the price I paid (£10), I have to say it is nothing more than a basic model. If you are getting into mini disc and just want a player, this will probably be fine for you. If however like me, you happen to be a veteran of the format and used to heavily depending on them, this could frustrate you. Although it does have the usual functions present, I found them more awkward to use than I would like, and the display was limited. If I had checked it out first I would have spent a bit more and gone for a 500 series player instead I think.

  Sony MDS-JE330 Mini Disc Player

There's always a lot of confusion as to whether certain Sony Mini-disks have auto-pause on them or not. The MDS-JE330 has auto-pause.
It is one of the entry level Mini-disks in the Sony range, but has enough features for most people. Most Sony Mini-disks have Optical in and out this model has only optical in, it has no headphone socket. Also is single speed.
Great Unit though well worth having for home use or if you are a solo artiste
