Sony MDR-RF820RK Consumer Wireless Headphones

Sony has always been a favourite make of mine over the past years so when i realised they had wireless headphones on the market it was a must have. The quality of the item is as you would expect but there is a certain amount of hiss that is hard to ignore. The range of the headphones is superb, and can easily be used in any room of my house. I do feel that a lesser priced item would maybe be as good but may not last the test of time as sony products have proven.

Review will be updated after a period of monitoring. Now received and at first try very good. Excellent usability and comfort More later. I will complete this review when I have assessed the battery life and and dexterity of the headphones.

Bought because, being slightly hard of hearing, family complained I had the tv too loud. Connected direct to the Sky+ box I can control the volume to my liking. Love the "auto switch-on", could do with a bit more spring in the headband - if I look down they tend to fall off, but this is nit-picking. Overall well up to Sony's usual high standard.

Sony MDR-RF820RK, not as good soundwise as wired sony headphones but very handy when out cutting the grass or after coming home from the pub when we all get a bit deaf and turn the music up ridiculously loud because it sounds so much better when we're half-cut,
you can leave your favourite music selections on repeat and as soon as you put the phones on they switch on automatically,
only thing is they look a bit bulky and perhaps ridiculous especially when you're out cutting the grass late at night after the pub,
otherwise I'm so impressed by these I am looking for a newer model which might look a bit more inconspicuous.

THESE CANS WORK WELL WITH MY COMPUTER BUT ARE ONLY AVERAGE WHEN USED IN CONJUCTION WITH MY HI-FI WHERE THE SOUND LACKS CLARITY AND SEPERATION.THE CONTROLS ARE AWKWARD AS IS THE RECHARGING STATION BUT THE RANGE OVER WHICH THEY OPERATE FROM THE STATION IS IMPRESSIVE.THERE ARE THREE CHANNELS TO CHOOSE FROM IF YOU CANT GET A DECENT SIGNAL OR IF ONE CHANNEL HAS INTERFERENCE.AT THE PRICE I PAID (£14) WORTH IT BUT THE USUAL PRICE OF AROUND £60 PERSONALLY I WOULD LOOK AROUND.THE KIDS LOVE THEM.
