A very popular tv in its day.
Now discontinued (as are all sony tube televisions) this was a great tv.
Very solid build quality, and as expected from sony, very reliable.
Widescreen and flatscreen. Only 50 hz, but this was adequate on such a small tv.
A model specific stand was also available.
Downsides are the lack of digital tuner, and the sheer bulk and weight of the tv compared to todays modern flat panel LCD's.
You will also find that the light silver casing tends to absorb dirt - but usually cleans of ok with a bit of hard work.
Overall, it is a well built bit of kit, that will probably last for years - although you will have to plug in a separate freeview box.

This is an excellent TV. Great picture and sound. There is nothing against it and I would recommend it to anyone, especially as you can get them for such a good price second hand.

Very nice for a CRT TV - pure flat screen, Trinitron, I think. Very good picture and colour compared with the Sharp TV that this replaced. Bulky, as you would expect, compared with modern LCD's but overall an excellent TV, especially if you can pick one up for less than £30 on eBay. The Toshiba 24" flat screen is even better, but be prepared to pay a fair bit more for one of those.

For a reasonably old model, (2002 I think), it's a great TV.
OK it's not a flat plasma screen with full HD and a built in Blu-Ray player and cappuccino maker etc., but if you just want to use it for the odd program or computer game it does the job well.
The picture is good for a CRT TV, I seem to get a better picture when I use the top SCART socket, but it is second hand so I'm not sure if that's the case with all models.
All in all I'm finding this to be a good piece of kit, would recommend to any non-techno buffs out there!

Sony TelevisionSony Trinitron always last forever and have fab picture qiality - really pleased with this telly even though it is a bit old-fashioned as not an LCD, we can't get digital yet anyway, so why spend a fortune until we have to - will buy Sony Bravia when we do
