A good mid range digital video - bought to use to start filming grand daughters growing up. Images on film are clear. Also will record onto Hi8 tapes and allow you to download and digitise on to a PC for editing and movie making. Beware will not play back Hi8 recorded on another camcorder 'you must use your own digital camcorder' if you wish to put on the computer. With Digital 8 tapes you do not experience this rather annoying problem.
Very easy to use – it is virtually plug and play when downloading through the firewire connection.
Would recommend as a first camcorder for anyone.
