Sony Handycam DCR-DVD106 Camcorder

I'm very impressed with this camcorder. Having opened the box, I put the recorder on to charge while browsing through the manual. This was very comprehensive, and a bit daunting at first. However, once I turned the camera on and inserted the dinky little DVD, everything seemed pretty straightforward. The 40x optical zoom is fantastic. This was the reason I chose the unit in the first place, and I haven't been disappointed. For general day-to-day filming, using the camera is very intuitive - it really is a case of point and shoot, and let the camera make its own decisions.

I also love the touch screen for playing around with the more advanced features, like "night mode" filming. I think I've barely scratched the surface so far, and I'm looking forward to expanding my abilities as I move through the learning curve.

A great price on e-Bay (much cheaper than Amazon!), and a piece of technology that I'll continue to enjoy for years to come.

great little camcorder,so easy to use,
only had mine for 2 weeks so just getting to know it,but up till now i've recorded, taken stils, and loaded everything onto my p.c all without any trouble at all!

This camcorder is compact, very easy to use and excellent quality. I bought the camcorder to film a wedding which I then put the film on DVD. Handycam-well named! will give my family and myself hours of pleasure in the future.

Very easy to use even having never used one before! You can choose an "easy" setting so it does all the thinking for you or you can get technical and use it manually.Very good quality not over complicated and excellent results. Buy this product not some cheap own brand imitation it's great!

I bought it from ebay because it is cheaper than we have in my country shops and it is a very good camcoder, simple to use.

DECIDED TO BUY THIS PIECE OF EQUIPMENT AFTER IT WAS REVIEWED BY 'THE GADGET SHOW' TEAM. ADDITIONALLY A FRIEND RECOMMENDED IT TO ME AS POSIBLY HAVING THE BEST RESULTS FOR VERY LITTLE MONEY.

Was really looking forward to receiving it in time for my partner for christmas ready for my new born baby!

Unfortunately was conned by a fraudster, I am now £169.00 out of pocket, have no gift and no money to show for the hassle.

great camcorder i hat great holiday with it ,and will be great to see whwer i ben in feuter to play back and see.

This camcorder though is above many demerits, one of the disadvantage is the use of 8cm DVD but not supporting 12cm DVD. While all other parameters are perfectly placed.
