Sony Ericsson Walkman® W880i Mobile Phone

The w880 looks and feels great and it fits perfectly in my jeans without ruining the shape of them.
Its quite an easy phone to use and everything you need for it comes in the box including some earphones.
The file transfer software made putting music onto my w880 simple and I soon had 30 albums on my phone!
The sound qaulity is first class and the equaliser and bass options really get the best out of the tracks.
The blogging tool is really cool and quick to use too because it does everything for you. I blogged a whole night out and there were lots of embarassed people the next day because the battery kept going all night too.
Having no flash on the camera wasnt ideal but its still a good camera for such a small phone.
All in all it's a great phone especially for its size

Great phone, good pictures. My son absolutley loves it. Great for music as it came with 1GB so can store lots of music.

This item was sent to me in good condition, although there was a few minor scratches on the screen, but for a used phone this is completely exceptable.

the phone is ultra thin with very small keys which could pose problems with large fingers.
the camera is surprisingly good for a 2mp. but has no flash.
the case appears strong and robust and the menu is easy to navigate.

in conclusion this phone is in my opinion a great buy if your looking for a music phone thats light and great to look at.

I like the phone, but its too small and the buttons are too close together. This phone is also easy to brake. This phone is ok featurewise and the camera is ok but i wouldnt recommend this phone to children....

I Liked it as it was in good condition as described and everything was as described. I shall use this shop again and the very near future., i brought it because my other phone broke.

Bought it as am upgrade from my lg which went faulty.
Wanted a black but could only get a silver as needed one in a rush.
The silver is actually nicer in real life and looks dowdy in the pics.
As its not silver but a genuine brushed stainless steel finish - so look very high quality. Its also very thin and flat looking which adds to the quality look and feel.
Not had a w series before - so spent a few hours downloading fav tracks onto the memeory card (1 gig as standard) using the supplied software. This converts and makes it a smaller mp3 size so you can go back and reconvert even smaller (worse quality) if you run out of space.
Its great to have music on the go. I use the internal speaker more - cant be bothered with the headphones. The playback software is very easy to use.
Others have complained about the small button size but you have to use the ends of your nails rather than jabbing with a finger and its not too bad. Most times I use the phone book for calls. So only really need it for texts. I may get fed up in the months to come - but am prepared to pay that small price now for the upside.
The reception is excellent and menu system the usual sony. I have had one before so its a familiar interface for me.
Won't be buying Lg again, most of their phones are plasticky rubbish.
The previuos sony models I've had, like most nokia's can take a bashing and go on working, and are very reiable. This one feels very solid. Looks cool.Cameras not too bad. Does everything with a feeling of reasurance which I did'nt get with the lg model

I bought it as i had seen how slimline it was. It was like having an ipod in your pocket not very noticeable and the walkman functions are great. Since buying i love the fantastic battery life but the loudspeaker for music was a touch of a letdown otherwise I love it!

The phone was barred, I asked them to unbar it but they couldn't. So I returned it to them in good gesture and they did not give me my money back for returning it!!!

Great phone, and much more robust than the W580i that I had before - which had more faults than I care to mention - and it was only 3 months old!! The W880i has all the same features and is quicker and slimer. My only gripe is that the buttons are small - so if you are a big texter it might not be for you! Camera is ok but there are better on the market, but the Walkman feature is brilliant!
Buy one!

this is a very good phone to use no problem whith the phone at all i rate this phone very well i have had no trouble with the phone at all so go in buy one

Very thin and light, but quite durable due to metal front plate (housing doesn't flex), very high quality materials and finishing - no gaps between parts, no squeaking when squeezed, feels very solid, and hard to drop due to rubberized back - won't slip out of your hand as easily as other small phones. Nice screen and fast user interface, OperaMini works great (fast).

Bad points:
number keys and volume slider hard to use if your fingers are not very very small. Without T9 it's a real pain writing an SMS!
Camera has no light or autofocus - makes OK photos only in best conditions (plenty of light). Almost useless for taking pics of documents and such.

Really good all round phone great for photos and putting mp3's. Very durable and slim. I brought because after a reading some reviews on line praising how good it was.

I recently purchased this phone and find it just delightful. I used to have a W8ooi until i had a lot of problems with the joystick. The W880i is very thin and light, the casing is brilliant as well, on the back of the phone its almost made of rubber so that you can put it on your dashboard in your car and it will not fall off! The controls are easy to use, but sometimes can be a little fiddly as they are quite close togethor. If you get chance i reccommend getting the speakers that can be bought for a walkman phone as the sound quality is brilliant and i once used my phone at a small house party to play the music!! Brilliant phone if you really like sony ericsson phones.
