Sony Ericsson W995 Cell Phone

Ok here it goes, I'm a big fan of Sony Ericsson's so obviously when the W995 came out I had to buy it..

I'll start off with the disadvantages of it... (save the best till last eh).. Well initially the phones a little slow, then again i dont expect it to be too fast, considerin how much the phone carries. Also,the way the messages, main menu has been laid out is a little confusing and hard to get around, nevertheless you do get used to it eventually.. hmm what else.. oh right, im not so sure if i can actually change this but iv searched everywhere in the phone to see if i could end a call by just sliding the phones top down.... i know its a little chilidish, but sometimes it saves a lot of time rather than having to press the end call button, then slide the phone down... oh never mind you'll see what i mean lol

now for the best bit... the phone has a lotta ads to it. initially, if your gettin the red sony ericsson like mine, then you will LOVE its look, it looks sexy, sleek and HOT! the applications with the phone are absoloutly halarious, especially the one where you can record your voice and change it around (hek i was playing with that for a good hour lol). the games r okay-ish but nevertheless you can download loads for free online.

if your a music lover then trust me, this phone is the phone for you. with an 8gb memory card, phone speakers, awesome sound you will love your music and bob your head to every single beat that plays through that phone lol
oh and i absoloutly love the way you can play your pictures, they have a little mini slideshow that just makes you smile when it goes through the pictures.. and the phones sensitivity makes playing games really fun ( a little like the ipod touch). and changing tracks with just a shake? thats pretty fun.. (sometimes I dont even listen to the music, i just shake the phone for fun lol)

well all in all, the phone is worth its price, though i kinda regret spending so much because now i am completely SKINT lol

if you do end up buying one, i assure you, you wont be disappointed, then again if your an iphone lover then you know.. obviously nothing can beat that... but still.. SONY ERICSSON W995 ROCKS!

When you buy a new mobile you are guessing what you will get unless you've already had a look at somebody else's phone. So hedging my bets having been very satisfied with Sony Ericsson mobiles before and disappointed with my last Motorola V8 and my husbands Nokia N95, I took a gamble on this new model from good stables. My friend had the previous Sony E model which had some great features so I thought this was a good bet. So far, an owner for only two hours and still setting it up, I'm very happy with it as I learn to tame the new technology and it defo has the WOW FACTOR, it looks so cool in RED:o)
The camera and sounds works well and the menus are quite instinctive. The choice of themes are limited and for a red phone I thought there'd be a red theme :o( but it looks like a marketing ploy to choose and pay for one online :o( I wasn't sure when I was connecting and using up the pennies. I'm sure I'll get to grips with it tho?!
Just looked at a video clip and the sound and definition were the best I've ever seen on a mobile :oD
I THINK IT'S GONNA SUIT ME SIR!

I've always been slightly wary of Walkman phones, I mean then can never match a top notch MP3 player, can they?? Well Sony have come mighty close with this, the music player is spot on, the best I've heard by a country mile. But then that isn't all, the camera (8.1mp) is also fantastic and the whole feel of the device is one to inspire confidence, i.e. you dont suspect its gonna pack up after a few short weeks. I recommend it highly.

This phone got lost in the post and ecell didi not think to inform me of this as when i phoned to see why i had not recived this phone then they told me that it had been lost, then they said they would refund me with the money and it took 3 weeks and me phoning every day for 3 week for them to refund me this company is not a reliable company as this has happned befor with a phone for my daughter!!!

All i can say is this is a top phone, i dont like all the modern touchscreen things and if you want a classic phone with normal buttons with all new fectures like 8mp camera and email then this is the one for you.

When you buy it make sure you check the condition first as the newer the phone the better it will look and feel the worst thing in the world to happen is you buy something you dont actualy like

This phone is full of amazing features. The only let down is the camera but it can be fixed with a simple hack.

Like:
1. It does almost everything an iphone does, but it does not require it's own backpack to carry it around! A lot cheaper too...
2. Smart, attractive phone
3. 8gb of memory - plenty for music and videos to put on
4. Pretty good battery life compared to previous Sony Ericsson phones
5. Sony Ericsson headphones are EXCELLENT
6. Extra speakers are pretty impressive also

Dislike:
1. It is not the smallest or lightest phone in the world, but given how much it is capable of, this is inevitable.

well the phone worked well for a few weeks then all of a sudden it stopped working. it would not charge and kept saying no network coverage!!! took it to phone repair shop and found out that the phone had been reported stolen. now it is useless!!!!! waste of alot of money

This is simply the best phone I've ever had and I've had quite a few. Excellent music player as to be expected from Sony Ericsson's flagship Walkman phone. Comes with a top end set of closed earbud headphones. I've ditched my MP3 player as this is so good and it ships with an 8GB memory card which gives acres of room for hundreds of tracks. I've downloaded 33 albums and still have over 5GB left. It also comes with a tube speaker which is good at moderate noise levels but distorts a little when on full volume. The call quality is crisp and clear and the volume on the ringer is nice and loud - essential for me as I live right next door to a dual carriageway!

The camera is a whopping 8.1mp and takes good pictures in decent light conditions or at close quarters in the night, as it only has a single LED light and no xenon flash. There is no cover for the camera lens which I hope won't make it prone to scratches. One gripe, why not 16m colours on the display? I bought a Nokia 6131 at least five years ago and it had 16m colours which makes a huge difference. Criticisms aside this is the best phone SE have made since the K800i. Highly recommended.

The first thing i brought of ebay was a sony ericson w995 and it doesn't work!!
I have asked ebay to sort it out to get my money back and paypell
and i haven't heard nothing i am very unhappy with this situation, the phone cost me £196 pound including postige and packaging so i really need this sorted.
This has really pout me of buying electrical things on ebay this should be sorted out now.

good camera, fairly loud, wi-fi, walkman, evrything you need in a phone. it feels very robust n well built really happy with the phone.
