Sony Ericsson K550 Cell Phone

The K550 is very easy to use, well built and reliable. I don't particularly like mobile phones but this one I can live with. I can even use the predictive text which is a first for me.

I love the simplicity of SE operating menus and I like the style of this phone, the key pad would take a bit of getting used to due to the thin bar like keys. My only critisism of this model of phone is the sound from the speaker is rather tinny compared to the W810i I previously owned.
This particulat phone that I purchased, although in excellent condition, arrived with a faulty display which took 15 seconds to illuminate after pressing a key ! The seller refused to accept this and blamed me and ignored two requests for a refund. A shame really.

I have bought a few of these phones,and would recommend them,as being very durable,reasonably easy to repair,and good value.Since I purchased one,my daughters have then wanted one,so I have ended up buying a few.Like,I said being easy to repair,LCD replacements are straight forward,and you only require a little knowledge of dismantling and re-assembly.A damaged K550i,with water damage,steer well clear,as I bought two of them,roughly the same time,and found that they cannot be repaired,only by repair shops,who quoted me 40 to 50 pounds for each phone,which then,I might as well bought perfect working ones.
The phones themselves,seem to have nice size screens,the keypad is a little awkward,as the buttons are small,phone can store mp3 tones,and display good photos,and pictures.

I bought this as i've previously had Sony Ericsson phones, and still have one for my work use. I've always found them very easy to use and user friendly, and the PC Suite software for backing up etc is brilliant. I would recommend to anyone.

Very good phone, although the K800i is only a few pounds more. The great thing about the K550 is that it is small and light, and has a good camera. Also, the k550i can be flashed to the W610i to gain extra features such as Flash Menus and Walkman for free (see http://www.josephn.net/se_k550i.htm)
