Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot™ C905 Cell Phone

THis is amazing 8.2MP camera, its better than my £150 digital camera. It looks very classy, mines in matt black the silver one looks cool too! I would recommend this to anyone. It has a couple of minor probs - the batterys poor under heavy use and im still finding it hard to text (had it 2weeks).

Apart from the 2 minor probs it is a top class mobile.

No more horrible joy stick Sony Erricsons were famous for.

After having problems with the earpiece (could nt hear callers) i have had it swapped. For the new C905 Plus....

I must say that this has none of the problems that the 1st C905 had.

If you on contract with O2, Orange, Vodaphone, T Mobile, 3, and your having problems phone them and demand a new C905 Plus.

This really is the best phone out there now with th 8GB and new software !!!!

this c905 has a great camera for a mobile.the rest of the phone is just the norm for a sony ericsson.it has the option for wifi which is a handy device.its not big or little,smaller than the samsung 8510 or pixon.better than the lg renoir.it has no touchscreen like the pixon or renoir which is a good thing because the other two attemp at touch screen is now where as good as the iphone 3g.

i brought this phone for my wifes birthday, she is a big fan of ericsson phones and she loves pink so this was a must. The 8 megapixel camera is really clear with a great flash, its the perfect gift for any girly girl.

The C905 is a phone that does everything. It has a camera with picture quality that puts most digital cameras to shame. It has the capacity to store all your music (with a memory stick, you can also send and receive emails at the touch of a button. You can surf the net with speed and, oh you can also phone your friends with it!

Had this phone for going on 5 weeks now and I have to say it is one heck of a phone !
The camera quality seems to get better each day. The first couple of days using the phone was a bit 'iffy' but this is because of the transition from my previous Samsung.
When this transition period is over and you know you way around this beast then you understand the power it has. As I said before the camera quality is superb, although it is best kept on autofocus, face detection is a waste of time.
The general feel of the phone is one of a sturdy long lasting phone, and the rubber casing is a joy to hold.
Also the weight of the phone helps when taking photos as you have the balance there. Battery life is good I get 3 days of it, which is pretty good going for a application packed phone. 3G is ultra fast too so the internet is quick when browsing by Wi-Fi or 3G.

Best phone yet. Camera and video excellent. Wifi great and easy to use. Solid feel. Materials look high quality with a very nice matt and titanium finish. Screen very sharp and is a great size. Small niggle with the text buttons being a bit awkward to press. I'm very pleased with it. N97 is the only phone i'd get above this one and it's not even out yet.

Having had over 10 different mobiles over the years this Sony is undoubtedly the best ever. Better than the Nokia N95 which I had previously. I have always been a faithfull nokia man but the Sony knocks spots off the Nokia. Fantastic camera. Extremely easy to use, straight forward, just superb!

I was originally loooking to buy the C902 but on a last minute wim I brought the C905 because I managed to get it quite cheap.

I used to be a Nokia user but since changing to Sony Ericsson I certainly wouldn't go back. The Nokia's always have some software problem of some sort etc. I upgraded from a K800i and I have to say many of the functions remain the same. The phone is a good buy however as ever there are advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages
Now that you have this phone, there is no need to get a digital camera, the phone comes with a 8.1 mp camera as you know and the camera really is very good. It comes with face detection as you already know and a 1gb chip is provided with the camera as standard.

Sony Ericsson have also had the courtesy of giving a USB reader so you have the convenience of plugging the chip right into your computer.

My last phone died after 4 years which is a pretty good age however I lost all my contacts and all my photos.
This phone automatically saves all your pictures on a memory stick so nothing is lost and it allows you to back up all your contacts too which is great!

At first the camera shutter looks pretty flimsy but upon using it its actually quite alright and with general use I dont think it would be a problem.

The phone organises your pictures into month by month.

The screen is nice and big unlike the C902 which my partner has and it is very small as it has a big black border around the screen.

Disadvantages
There are a few niggly things that I find annoying about my phone

The GPS location feature is awful it cant work out anything if you are in a building or something which has a roof!

The battery lid is very flimsy, almost paper like

The battery life of my phone is not as long as they suggested or just maybe I got a dodgy battery. Batteries for these phones are usually quite good so I am unsure.

The buttons on the phone are awful they are not on individual buttons so you find yourself typing the wrong letter or sliding over to the next button.

Even with the niggly bits I would recommend this phone as overall its very good and everything is bound to have disadvantages.

I was looking for a phone which had a decent camera, plus enabled me to play my music and I must say I am not disappointed with this purchase. The camera on this phone is the best feature and will mean that instead of carrying a camera and phone with me I will just take my phone. The phone has a very solid feel to it and the number keys are a good size, making it a lot easier to text with than some of the current phones on the market. The only minus point for the phone is it's battery life, but I guess that is to be expected when it has a 8.1 camera and other features which probably use quite a bit of the battery life. My husband keeps asking if I got bored with the phone yet, as he is keen to get his hands on it!!!

Excellent phone the camera is first class. It is easy to use and there is nothing that I dont like about it. In fact liked it so much bought one for my boyfriend.

I purchased this phone because I have an older S-E mobile which I like very much, but wanted an 8mp camera, as the old phone's camera wasn't really good enough. However, the new phone is less convenient - e.g. there are about 6 key-clicks to put it on silent as opposed to 2 with the old phone, and the camera is incredibly slow to focus, there's a second lag at its best, so is no good at all with action shots. The quality of the shots is excellent but all in all, it's not as good as I had expected it would be.

The sellers posting that the phone is new is incorrect, after charging the phone there are 97 outgoing text messages and 71 incomiming texts
I would have thought the seller would have at least deleted all the sexual explicit personal messages before shipping the phone.
I sent three emails requesting a reply when the item would be sent including a query regarding card insertion. The seller failed to respond or acknowledged to my requests.

I wanted an update after my sony ericsson C902 was stolen. I liked the lay out and features of the C902 and wanted to keep within the Sony brand. The 8mp camera was a definate selling point. I'd read quite a few reviews and was a little concerned about the battery, with lots of people saying it was pretty dire, but found a cheap one and decided to give it a go anyway.
I have to say that, after a day or two of having the phone, I'm really impressed. The battery is fine and needs charging as much as my old phone did (every 2 days or so). Im not a heavy user, but do use the radio and camera function a fair bit. The lay out is pretty much the same as the C902 which is great so everything is easy to use and straightforward.
I think the sound through the headphones and speakers is excellent and a good alternative to an ipod if you can't carry too much with you. The camera is picture perfect and really easy to use. The zoom quality isn't as top as most seperate digital cameras but I don't mind too much as I was wanting a good camera to capture snaps out with friends or when my dog is doing something funny rather than professional photos.
The design looks pretty good to me and I quite like the big screen, although some might prefer something smaller. The text pad is small but I don't find it a problem either, as cited in some reviews, although short nails are a must. The camera FEELS a little cheaper and not such good quality as the C902, which was a great little phone, especially when the text pad is extended. You get the sense that its not made for heavy duty knocks etc. Again, I don't mind this in mind of all the features.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased and most of the problems reported in other reviews haven't been a problem for me. I wouldn't pay a top price for it, but as I got it as a bargain, it was worth every penny!

this is the best phone I've ever had the pleasure of using and the 8.1 camera is brilliant.the only thing that is missing out of the phones is a protective case ...but you don't get one with any other phone maybe the manufacturers need to start supplying them ????

i recently sold my samsung tocco phone because i was looking for a phone with more features such as wifi an gprs better quality pictures

it was a good deal at £175 but already found things about the phone im disappointingly surprised with such as video recording quality is really bad considering its got a 8.1 megapixel camera...the nokia n95 has a 5 megapixel camera an its video recording is perfect it dominates the c905

better than k850i! looks smart, handles well, smooth feel, slide action is best current action of mobile styles, useful memory card usb reader.

This phone is sound to use and very user friendly, looks good, works great and is very very easy to use. Would highly reccomend it for anyone to use. The camera quality is out of this world!!!****!!!!

Well where to start?!Great phone brand new so there is not much to write about.Blazing straight from the box.Foils still on the screen and housing and all the bit and pieces included.SIMPLY PERFECT 10/10.

I love the phone but when some1 phones me i cant hear anythin but they can hear me, i can get it repard for free if i hav original reciept wich i obiously dont have, the seller said he would send me a copy but he hasnt :(

The thing I like about the above phone is the 8.1. pixel on camera. Have yet to come to grip to all the other stuff like,Walk By, music, video, radio and numerous other add ons. Being a nearly pensioner to be expected that I am a little over whelmed by this extra technology. But am happy to move with the times and this particular phone.

Was very impressed with the phone it was in total mint conditon unused in a box just as described and i ask the the seller if if would assist with a speedy delivery which arrived the very next day as i am due to fly on holiday in three days.

The reason for buying the phone,was the impressive 8.1 megapixel camera ,the downside to the camera was that ,the lens cover,is manual,but not to much of a problem really.
Easy to excess functions,a good solid design,not much more to say really a good all round camera as you would expect from Sony Ericsson .

I absolutely love this mobile ( sony ericsson c905 ) , this is my first slider type phone and it is easy to operate , this is more of a top end phone i think as it has the 8.1 mp camera , as of yet i cannot find a bad point , the battery life seems to last well .
