This is my first Camcorder. On advice from a friend I descided to go for the Mini Dv format and bought the Sony as a trusted name and I'm very pleased that I did.
The Camcorder is very easy to use, very light and easy to carry. I found the instructions easy to understand and also easy to load the disc onto my PC.We took the camcorder on my retirement trip and are really pleased with the results when played back through the TV. While there are camcorders with greater zoom than this model it suits me and I am very happy with it.
Two things worth having as extras for any camcorder, a heavier duty battery on top of the one supplied and also a tripod.
