Sony DAV-S500 Theater System

The sound quality is comparable to many new high end systems of similar price range, and certainly doesn't sound cheap and nasty. The sub woofer gives really good quality bass that blends in well with the 5 tweeters, rather than sounding like a separate bass speaker.

i bought one of these primarily to connect my xbox 360 to and i'm not disappointed, i have connected it using the optical in and wow,

the hd movies and games sound excellent and the system gives a new depth to everything i watch,

i found it easy to setup with the colour coded speakers plugs in the rear and the amplifier settings were simple to use as well, not to mention the looks for an older unit it still looks the part under my big lcd tv,

all in all i'm very pleased with it and for the price you can pick them up from off ebay its an absolute bargain( i paid 35 for mine )

Great sound. only downfall is the color, but the sound quality makes up for that. The price was very modest. Easy set-up. ideal first model.

It is an excellent product. I already had the system, but the amplifier broke down. I had already enquired about the cost of repairing it, when I saw this one on Ebay. It was cheaper to buy it on Ebay than to get my original one repaired.

The product is as expected, no problem with the hardwares as such. But lack of availability of remote control and speaker wire dampen the real joy of using the product and hence curosity.

Over all satisfied with the product.

My own DVD player was not operating correctly and I saw this system advertised on ebay, my TV is a Sony so I thought this would be a perfect match, I didn't check the age and although I have got it working it didn't have scart sockets and it is a bit older than it looked, this was my fault for not checking and not a bad reflection on the seller. It does the job and for the money I still think it was a good buy.
