I am delighted with the system. It was easy to set up as it was all colour coded, the surround speakers are small threfore can be discreetly placed yet they are very powerful.
The function button allows me to choose between dvd's, music cd's and tv etc so I now have a surround sound system for my films AND tv finally, and also playing cd's on.
The sub woofer, as all are, is on the large side but I stuck mine down the side of the settee in the end and it did't affect the sound location.
These are excellent value for money allowing superb quality at a realistic price.

I was looking for a mid range home theatre system to complement my LCD projector, the reviews of the DAV-DZ230 sounded very appealing and I decided it was pretty much what I needed... I spent £90 on ebay to win this system but I now believe that it was worth every penny! The many reviews on this system just do not do it justice... I was quite astonished by the quality of this set up...this thing sounds awesome, it is rich and powerful and really does recreate a relistic Cinema effect in your own living room. It made me realise how crappy my old system was!
Buy one if you can... you won't regret it!

I have owned a Sony DAV for a while now and it still amazes me with the quality of the picture it can produce. It is very easy to live with and, unlike some systems, doesn't fill up your room with huge boxes but still produces an excellent sound stage. It's typical Sony...dependable, reliable and well built.

excellent piece of equipment. greas sound , sounds meaty when the sub starts beating, plenty of aux in the back for ps3 and other equipment , built in fm which is handy hdmi upscaler works well

all good,but bad packaging unit dented on top probably due to transit delivery
