Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-W35 Digital Camera

Decided to buy the Sony DSC-W35, after having struggled the last few years with a Kodak Easyshare camera (sucked the life out of even the most expesive brnds of batterys in no time). And so far have been very pleased with the Sony's performance. It is small/compact enough to fit in your pocket, and is packed with features.
An easy to use compact camera, perfect for anyone who wants a point and shoot, although like I said, it is packed with other features if you spend a little time with the users manual getting to grips whith how to use them. One of the main points which made me decide on it, was the fact it is one of the few compact digital cameras these days which still has an optical viewfinder (very handy in outdoors and sun shining off the lcd screen), and also the fact it has a rechargeable L-ion battery which seems to last very well in deed. The pictures it takes are as good as any others I have seen. All in all a very good value camera.

well working fine and that's what i want to have as big tft screen and all the feature that just right for my holiday picture to family and of course for my other use.when we have frist baby we want to take as much pic as we can so we can make serial of picture album and sent to our family as they live far from us.this is very handy as just plug to pc and print bingo!!! don't need too much pro knowlegde as it's have his own software with it.

The camera was absolutely fantastic. It takes excellent photos and it is simple and easy to download them onto my laptop.

As my first digital camera, I think this is great - it produces excellent quality pictures and the detail is amazing. The different features are also fun and make good photos. The zoom is not exceptional as it is only 3x optical but is still good and delay on taking pics is a little long but no problem. It must however be treated with great care as I took mine to a party (not sure what happened to it) and it has stopped working. The 12 month guarentee is therefore useful. Overall, the high quality, 7 mega pixel lens and user friendly features do make this camera really good value for money.

HAVING DECIDED THAT IT WAS INDEED TIME TO UPDATE TO A DIGITAL CAMERA I WAS DRAWN TO THIS CYBERSHOT WHICH I HAVE BEEN THRILLED WITH - IT'S SO EASY TO USE AND IT'S COMPACTNESS MAKES IT EASY TO SLIP INTO MY POCKET OR HANDBAG

The product worked perfectly for the first week and then developed a fault. The camera keeps turning itself off. Not a fault with the battery. The fault developed while I was on holiday, which was the reason I bought the camera. Very disappointed.

What i like about this sony is that it takes excellent photos even in the dark. It is also very fast when compared to the sony dsc-v1 which i previously owned. It is also thin and stylish. Unlike the dsc-v1 is does not have the night framing option however it does not need it since in low light environments the display image is still clear and by that i mean that the people are clearly visible. While the dsc-v1 in normal mode in low light environments the people are not visible and you would have to turn on night framing simply to be able to see what in going to be included in the photo!

i highly recommend especially since it is the best camera out there in its price range and i did quite a lot of reading on camera reviews. You will not be disappointed.

I got this camera for Christmas and am extremely impressed with it, good quality pictures, compact and easy to sit in your handbag and extremely easy to use. Has a variety of different usages ... night vision, low light, beach etc etc. If you're looking for a well priced easy to use camera you can't do much better!

This camera was bought to replace one that was stolen. It is robust and versatile and unlike others of similar specs, it has a minimal time lapse between pressing the button and shooting. Good when shooting moving objects. The lithium battery though expensive proves adequate for a day of game shooting and can be recharged anywhere I have taken it. The 7.2 mega pixels and carl zeiss lens with x3 optical zoom ensures good quality.
Main faults are the small screen, which is useless in sunny weather, and the fact that the optical viewfinder displays a more restricted picture than the final shot/ Gets all you want but often something you don't want- like the chap in front's head ! Chavuma

This has been an excellent purchase, dont be put off by the fact it has no battery and charger you can buy both these off e-bay for £20 and then you have a fully operational camera for a great price. Also super fast delivery.

this camera is a great digital camera. it takes good quality picture.
the reason for buying it is because my girlfriend wanted one and she knew it was a good camera

I bought a top line camera body from Hong Kong and saved about £ 130.00 so it looked like a bartgain.

I was rushed £ 34.00 import tax, so I am still up by £ 95.00 on the UK price.

The delivery from Hong KOng was 48 hours, so the service from this sales outlet is excellent. The only problem was, I couldn't make it work, it wouldn't switch on. No good looking at the manual, it was in Chinese. No good downloading the service and owners manual off the Pentax site, it wasn't available, the model was not even out on the UK market.

So I had to go right through the on board program and learn it, button by button, till I could get the camera to light up and take a picture.

That took three days of playing with it.

The HK shop didn't answer any of my e-mails about where I could get help !

I now have a working camera and I am doing some amazing photography with it. I already had 28mm, 36,, 50,, 35-75 zoom, 80-220 zoom a 300 and a 600mm mirror 'K' fit lens, so now I have a roll film and a digital capability.

Very compact easy to use camera that will produce high quality pictures,very good value for money.Picture defination is as good as a professional top of the range camera.

Having owned a Fuji F40FD for some time i decided i wanted a backup camera, i decided on a Sony W35 because a few freinds owned one and avised they were reasonable cameras. Also it fits snugly into a shirt pocket, great for going fishing etc I decided on the refurb camera as it was a fair price and no neeed to break the bank. The camera works great both cameras are about the same standard

This is one of the best digital camera in its price range. The 3x optical and 6x digital zoom provide the user to photograph the distance objects. When I saw its size I was amazed, and honestly speaking was not expecting such a miniature. I was wondered that fitted into my shirt pocket. The inbuilt memory size is not sufficient anymore, but I don't think it is a serious drawback since you can fit additional memory card in it

I paid for an item from this seller on 12th of january and i still havent recieved it. I also paid postal insurance which the seller claimed on then kept the claim. Im sure the camera is good if you actually recive it!!!!!

The Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-W35 Digital Camera is easy to use and gives great results. The point and shoot setting takes out any fuss, what you see on the LCD screen is what you get, I like to refer this as idiot mode. simply ask someone to take a picture of you and yours in this setting and it works everything out to give good results.
It is well worth reading the manual to get the best out of this amazing little camera. Using other than idiot mode the LCD tells you what the setting you selected does for those of us who don't read manuals.
I like how I can brighten up the image in un natural light settings like a living room. using the ev setting there is no need to use flash and all colour is even throughout the shot. The anti shake takes care of most wobble on this setting.
For most things I reduce the definition to 1 meg per picture. This means that with a 512mb memory card you 500+ pictures. Just take a few snaps then bin the worsed shots. This is a 7.2 megapixel camera for fine photography, the Carl Zeiss lens compliments hign definition shots well.
When making video take care to be steady and quiet. It hears every breath and scuffle.
The only niggle is that the setting selector wheel is most likely to have moved after you take the camera out of its case or out of your pocket. It is good to check it is set to what you want before use.

I decided to join the world of sony after my 3 year old hp camera broke unannounced and i have not regretted at all. the sony cyber dsc w35 is very easy to use. the picture quality is good and alot more memory space as i am fond of keeping all my shots. the slimness of camera makes it handy. i am able to keep in my small hand bag. what i love about the camera is the fact that its stylish and comes with its own rechargeable battery which means no extra cost on batteries.this is one of the best purchases i have made and would recommend to others.

Great little point and shoot that slips in your shirt pocket, good quality pictures for this size of camera.
