Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-H5 Digital Camera

The above mentioned camera was a very satisfying purchase since it provided us with more than we had expected, even though it took three weeks to be delivered to us. It is a very professional digital camera which provides you with very clear pictures with the least detail and gives you the possibility to capture scenes from very long distances with the same excellent results. It has a very extensive and interesting menu which is quite easy to get accustomed to. Additionally, it also has the option of video-recording, which although not for a long time, is very handy. We decided to buy this digital camera since it provides excellent value for money and also a free 2GB memory card, and it was ideal to capture panoramic scenes while on holiday. Well done for this fantastic product.

This is an excellent light-weight compact camera, easy to operate, with a superb range of features to cater for all users from the complete beginner to the professional photographer. The anti-shake function is admirable, as is the "low light" capability, and the battery life (from the rechargeable batteries) is much better than I expected. Combined with the 12 x optical zoom (which was one of the main reasons I chose this camera!) this is probably the best camera I have ever owned. Very good value for money!

This is very fantastic camera although it is big. The most important that I decided to buy this camera because it use battery that is not specific for sony it mean that when you battery is deplete you can buy alkaline battery to use, not waiting for charge your battery. Moreover, this camera also has many accessories such as lens, filter and other options. The quality of picture is ok although it can not make good picture when you take picture where low light. However, this camera is not too expensive so it can do that suit for its price. Moreover, it can manual ISO and can manual focus yourselve. To sum up, you will be happy if you buy this camera.

This was real value for money. It was voted top product in Which and was cheaper by £100 and included a massive 2gig card.

This camera was bought to replace my old 4 mp Kodak camera that I always thought was a good camera. The Sony DSC-H5 is absolutely incredible. The zoom when combined with the pc means that you can see craters on the moon in perfect focus, while the standard macro is in focus from just 2cm even when hand held with it's stablisation programme. Unlike an SLR this is a point and shoot camera with no messing arround changing lenses.

The camera really is an excellent model. It has a 12x zoom (not quite as enormous as the H9) but its 3" screen and the fact that it uses two standard AA batteries makes this a very convenient and easy to use camera. The files are plenty large enough for all amateur purposes with their 7+ Mpixle resolution and I haven't had any concerns at all about using it alongside my H9. I'm happy with either but generally the H5 is available at cheaper cost. Compared to the H9 the features are basically the same apart from the lack of Infra-Red Night shot, the x12 zoom, the 7.1 (against the 8.1 Mg res), The viewing screen is the same..... and just check out the H50 (Big brother to the H9 - there again the same basically as the H9 and a price tag of around £275-£300 ... the H5 is far less expensive and you really just need to decide what you are happy with.

Fantastic results from this easy to use camera. The controls are well set out & you can use it in automatic mode or play around with the settings. The camera is on the large side for a digital but this makes it fit well into your hands & it can be kept stable. There is a large screen at the back to review pictures so some can be rejected before you download onto a computer.
